About
I became a member of the Florida Bar in 1993 over 26 years ago. I have been concentrating my practice on Family law for over 14 years. I am a Florida Supreme Court Family Mediator and a Guardian Ad Litem. I am a former prosecutor, and served as an Assistant State Attorney for over 7 years. I also served as Assistant Staff Counsel for the Florida Bar in the department for lawyer discipline.I grew up in West Palm Beach, Florida. My dad is a Prosthodontist, and my mom has her own jewelry business. Most of the jewelry I wear was made by my mother. My parents are still working at age 75, and they have been married for over 55 years. I attended North Shore High School (public school), where I was on the swim team, a member of the chorus, and a cheerleader. Coming from a family of GATORS, I attended the University of Florida, and majored in Real Estate and Urban Development. I actually started my legal career as a legal secretary in a Real Estate Law firm. I attended law school at the University of Miami School of Law. I met my husband through a mutual law school friend, and we have been married since May 5, 1996. We have two amazing daughters, who are both following their dreams to become professional dancers. Dani is graduating this year from University of Florida with a BFA degree in Dance, and a BS degree in Digital Arts and Science. Sami is attending FSU and she is working toward a BFA degree in Dance. Yes, we have a house divided! Thanksgiving weekend is always interesting. But, I have really enjoyed supporting both Florida schools. Both my girls attended Blake High School for the Arts, and Progress Village Middle Magnet School for the Arts. I was very involved with my children's after schooll activities and school programs, and felt it was one of the best decisions I made sending them to magnet schools. These schools helped shaped them into incredibly talented and accomplished young adults.I started my career as an Assistant State Attorney. It was my childhood dream to be a prosecutor, and I really enjoyed that position. I prosecuted cases from misdemeanors to sex crimes. As a prosecutor, I not only developed litigation skills, but I also learned to work with families who were faced with traumatic situations. This experience gave me a solid background to become a family law attorney. I have primarily represented family law clients since 2006. My ability to negotiate and write effectively have also led to my skills as a Family Mediator and Guardian Ad Litem.

Monica listened, evaluated and gave her advice. My case was very complicated and complex, Monica was able to negotiate and move things along. We were able to argue and compromise to a common solution. Monica helped me along thru the entire process. I would not have any other attorney but Monica!!!! If you want a positive result then I recommend you hire her immediately. If you have any questions about her abilities, contact me and I will tell you.
Monica Frost represented me in my divorce and was great. My first time going through something like this and I was filled with much worry, uncertainty, and stress. Monica listened to my concerns, kept me informed, looked out for my best interests, and basically held my hand through the process. She was awesome and got me the best possible outcome. I highly recommend her.
I had a custody case, that eventually we just settled on, but Monica helped me with it the whole way. She was very good at getting things done in time, very efficient. She’s very honest with expectations and she knows exactly what she’s doing. You just let her know what you want, she will let you know right away if it’s realistic and what she can do to help you achieve it. I recommend Monica to anyone in a custody case of any type! Thank you Monica!
Monica handled my custody case 3 years ago and was certainly not money hungry. She was kind, considerate and very knowledgeable. Never once did she promise me pie in the sky. Now having to go through it again, I called numerous attorneys in my local area and non would even see me with out a $350 fee. As a single mom, this was a big deal. Monica not only saw me, but she gave me great advice and because of that, I went ahead and retained her again. If you need an attorney, call Monica, you won't be sorry you did.
Attorney Frost is one of a kind lawyer. She will be there for you before, during and after your divorce. She is not money hungry, or a money oriented kind of person. She provided me with her cellular phone, most of lawyers specially in MA or NY would not do that. She is very professional, honest, she gave me the best advice, looking very carefully at my pros and cons. She worked out the best way for me to pay her wages, since I was going through a hardship situation. Attorney Frost and her paralegal Tylinh were always on top of my case, returning phone calls and emails, mail, etc. I highly recommend Attorney Frost and her office five stars, great job.
I never thought I would see the light of day with my divorce. I was completely naive to the whole experience and knew that it was going to be a very contested divorce. After I consulted and hired Monica, I was very confident and hopeful that it could be done. Monica used her experienced and expertise to walk me through the process and she exceeded my expectations. For example: Monica encouraged us to settle our differences through the mediation process rather than the courts. She wrote a pre-mediation and trial agreement for both sides as a starting point (negotiation) on us settling our differences. She was punctual, very professional and always available when I needed her. She made a very tough, stressful and sad situation bearable. I am very grateful that she was my attorney during this process.
I HIGHLY recommend Monica Frost if you're in the market for a lawyer! I have been through 2 mediations and 2 trials with her by my side. My divorce and child custody battles were very draining and emotional, as anyone can attest to having been there themselves. It was a blessing having her as my attorney! Monica always gave me straight answers, without pulling punches or just "telling me what I wanted to hear". She always responded timely to any questions I had when she wasn't available at that moment. She warned me that we may have to go to trial, on both occasions, and made sure I knew what she needed from me, and what to expect. I went to trial confident, and felt I was well prepared for whatever transpired. During trial Monica was on point, and I could see her experience come into play. She never backed down, knew when to be aggressive, and was quick to add new evidence from cross examinations into the fold. To make a long story short, I have entire albums of family pictures that would not exist without Monica Frost. I did not hesitate to hire her a second time, and I would not hesitate to hire her a third.
I hired Monica Frost after my previous lawyer suffered from a medical issue. I actually found her by accident, but because she was upfront and explained how the case could go, I immediately scheduled an appointment and retained her. Monica worked with me on my case from the summer of 2014 till the fall of 2015. She devoted hours and discussed all possible outcomes from our several court appearances together. Monica represented me during 1 mediation and 5 court appearances. Every apperance came out in our favor. Monica always told me what she thought was the best option, but from there we always worked to a common goal. Never once did she sugar coat a situation, and I never walked into the court room with any false sense of hope. She always answered every question I had to the best of her knowledge and was quick to respond. I have recommended Monica to many of my friends going through a divorce. The lawyer I had before Monica was a very highly recommended military divorce lawyer, but if I would have to go through this horrible experience again she would be the only lawyer I would hire!
WOW! The review posted by Ms. Pamela on 13 March 2015 describes the experience that I also had with Attorney Frost as a client. I am finding it difficult to expound upon such an accurate review that describes Attorney Frost to a tee. Attorney Frost was my attorney for over a six year period litigating a VERY ACRIMONIOUS and difficult divorce. Attorney Frost always provided the guidance and expert technical knowhow to keep my case, and more importantly myself, in check. With that being said, I would like to pass on some general information on this life changing event that I acquired which may be of assistance in your decision in hiring an attorney. First and foremost this process is about fair and equitable distribution of marital assets and family issues (child visitation, etc.). Attorney Frost is a Florida Supreme Court Certified Family Mediator with exceptional negation skills to achieve the courts goals - of fair and equitable distribution. If you are looking for an attorney to make your former spouse “pay” by using fanatical accusations, demands, or just creating a lot of drama to make the other spouse “look bad” then Attorney Frost may not be an attorney for you. There are some attorneys who will play up the accusations, demands and the drama if that is what you want to do and they will gladly let you go down that road. But, remember the more “drama” created the more money you will be paying your attorney. For example, one of the former spouse’s attorneys had me paying her over $400,000.00 dollars by promising her that I would pay for the children’s college, cars, and the like – as in payments UP FRONT. Sadly this was only the beginning. When it was all said and done the former spouse spent over $80,000.00 +++ dollars for almost the same outcome as if she would have “gotten” along. But again, she was going to “make me pay”. I have to admit that I too wanted to “strike/get back” at the former spouse. I guess it was my knee jerk reaction to the continued drama being created. I was an exceptionally difficult client, maybe the worst client Attorney Frost ever had, mostly because I did not understand the process. However, with Attorney Frost guidance and reasonable explanations of what she suggested we do, I soon became her BEST client ever. Besides, by staying focused on the true issues, and not the drama, she saved me a boat load of money. Considering every motion submitted by some other attorneys can cost as much as $500.00+ dollars which my former spouse paid - and there were a lot of them. Hence, the $80,000.00 dollar tad she had to pay. However, (there always is a however) this can turn into a very costly endeavor no matter what you and Attorney Frost try to do, for you cannot control/prevent your former spouse and some attorneys from abusing the court system. But that is another story. When all was said and done I am just relieved and grateful that my attorney was Attorney Frost. Good luck!
Monica did a great job for me on my divorce case. She was current on the applicable statutes, knew well the issues related to equitable distribution, and she had solid insights into the manner in which events would unfold. She was honest and candid, and perhaps most refreshing of all, she was more concerned about taking care of my legal needs than she was about aggressive billing. that last fact is truly a rare commodity among attorneys today.
