Mr. May was recommended to me through my work benefits. I was able to quickly call his office and got an immediate response from Julie to set up a consult. I had the opportunity to email him documents before the conference call which he read all of them in their entirety. He was ready to give me the valuable information I was looking for in a way that I understood. He was exceptional in his consult, telling me the pros and cons of what I needed to do. He was extremely confident and well-versed in his area of expertise. I would highly, very highly, recommend Mr. Mitchell May in the areas of law he can assist you with. It was an awesome experience. He went over and above what I expected.
We live in Fl. and we were purchasing a second home in Dover De. We reached out to Mr. May's office for a second opinion on some specific real estate transaction issues. Mr. May took the time to answer all questions that my wife and I had regarding the purchase of the home. His knowledge concerning the laws and regulations pertaining to Delaware real estate was outstanding. He was very precise with his answers as well as being patient with us. Mr. May is very personable and we would highly recommend his services.
I cannot thank Mr. May enough for helping me get full custody and placement of my infant son. My son's mother was going down a very dark path and I started noticing that my son's home care was getting worse by the day. If not for Mr. May's support and guidance through this difficult time, I would have never worked up the courage to remove my son from a dangerous environment. As most people know, it is very difficult for a father to gain custody of a child from the mother, even when the mother has a criminal history, but Mr. May never flinched. He was excellent about managing my expectations during the ordeal and made sure that I knew what was going to happen at every step. The other lawyers I spoke with tried to make everything sound like a walk in the park and almost guaranteed that I would win. I realized that these lawyers just wanted to get me through the door so I could pay their retainers. Mr. May took his time during our consultation and made sure he knew every angle of the situation. Additionally, he never pressured me to hire him on and only discussed his payment when asked. From the bottom of my heart, Thank you Mr. May.
Mr. May handled My step daughter's bankruptcy. He provided literature that explained the Bankruptcy laws and took time to answer the many questions that I, my wife, and step daughter asked. He also took time answering our phone calls and giving us advice regarding a different personal issue that my step daughter had.
Mr. May took my custody case back in 2013. We reached a final order in the summer of 2015. We had many hurdles to jump over and Mr. May didn't even seem to flinch. He is very thorough and makes sure you understand what is going on step by step and also that you are heard. In August of 2015, a wrench was thrown in the pot and petitions started appearing in PA where the other party is residing. If it weren't for Mr. May's hard work and dedication to my case, the lawyer in PA would have had to start at square one and cost me thousands of more dollars! Mr. May even emailed me on the way to vacation to inform me that an answer came in from a judge that we were waiting on! I was very impressed by that, due to the fact that he has paralegals that could have contacted me on his behalf. If I ever had to recommend a lawyer in DE, Mitch May would be the guy!!
Mitch helped me with my custody battle. He was very upfront and honest with me about the custody process. He explained things in way that I could understand. He was able to negotiate an agreement that made all parties involved very happy. I would recommend him to anyone and will definitely use him in the future.
Mitch was everything I needed in an attorney. He handled everything for me and got the result I was looking for. He knows his stuff. I would recommend him in a heart beat to anyone needing an attorney.
Mr. May is a fantastic divorce attorney! He is very compassionate and caring. He always treats me with respect and never talks down to me. He takes the time to explain things to me. The staff at May & Perza are always extremely helpful and caring as well. I would absolutely recommend Mitchell May to anyone and everyone looking for a family law attorney.
I recently used Mitch as my attorney for my divorce and child custody. I was extremely satisfied with both his manner in which he dealt with my situation and also his knowledge of the law. I felt comfortable in his legal knowledge. He made a very difficult situation for me bearable. In the beginning of my divorce process, I felt lost. With Mitch's help, the situation is now resolved and behind me and I look forward to starting a new life. I highly recommend Mitch May as an attorney.
During a very bizarre custody disagreement I hired Mitch. He made me feel secure in my case and confidant that I was doing the right thing. As time got nearer to the case he became lax in communication and even nonchalant when I was concerned we were not being "zealous" enough. I basically put myself in a heap of debt to pay Mitch and didn't even stand a chance in court. My advice: find a lawyer who is passionate about you and your case, not your checkbook.
