About
Nicole A. Martinez graduated in 2015 from Santa Clara University with a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and received her Juris Doctorate from the University of San Francisco, School of Law, where she gained a passion for juvenile law, domestic violence litigation and family law. She worked closely with her juvenile law professor and studied the intricacies of family separation, family reunification, and parental rights. Nicole was chosen as the winner of her mock trial debate by three judges at the end of her first year of law school.As a former Board Member of the Sports and Entertainment Law Association, she helped organize functions with members of the sports and entertainment law community. Nicole volunteered to participate in the Open Doors Program where she worked with attorneys at Community Legal Services of East Palo Alto on immigration matters and participated in a hearing regarding housing rights.Nicole gained critical experience working as a law clerk at a plaintiff’s firm where she contributed to trial preparation on three major cases and assisted at a bench trial that the firm won. She also worked at a family law firm participating in various court proceedings and acting as a translator with clients when needed. Nicole has also appeared at numerous Juvenile Law proceedings including juvenile justice, dependency proceedings, and the dually involved minors calendar.In her free time, Nicole enjoys traveling the world, working out at the gym, spending a weekend at the racetrack and socializing with friends and family. She is fluent in Spanish, conversational in French, and has elementary proficiency in Italian.
