I was scared. I was a single Dad facing a situation that was daunting, confusing and terrifying. What do I know about custody battles? I knew I had to act fast otherwise settle for less than my family deserved. It all started with a phone call to Mike that ended with him asking me how much my son’s safety was worth. That resonated immediately and I hired him that day. Mike and his team went above and beyond for me and my son. They managed to ensure that I felt protected and cared about while being a team of professional juggernauts to the Petitioner. They told me the truth, I was informed throughout the entire process and they were easy to reach. They were flexible during this crazy year and represented my family to perfection. We all know that there are no real winners or losers in these sort of things but all the injustice was remedied. Don’t fool yourself and make up excuses. If you think you can’t afford it then do as I did and apply for a loan, sell your car, or get a second job because The Moceri Law Group is worth it. Have you done enough?
I'm very sorry to read what happened with the other person who gave a rating of 1 star. I feel the other person’s rating is a point of view out of dozens. However, it's common that people don't take time out of their day to give a positive review but quick to give a negative review. I just want people to know that my experience was great from the beginning to the end. I was extremely happy with the outcome of my divorce case. I did not have to go to court and was able to settle things in mediation. I had the opportunity to meet the Office Manager/ Paralegal/ on her way to be a Legal Technician (impressive) Christine. She did my intake. Christine was so understanding and comforting. I knew this was a good start and a good sign. Then I spoke with Associate Attorney Brian Neuharth. He really didn't have to take time out of his schedule to talk to me about my case before Managing Attorney Mike Moceri was ready to meet with me, yet he did. My divorce case would seem to be an easy one, but there were twists and turns that made it unusually a bit more difficult than it needed to be. I wanted and needed the help. Mike did not have to take my case, but he did even though we both discussed that he would be in trial the day of my mediation, and one of his associate attorneys would accompany me in mediation. However, he would go to trial with me if it indeed had to go to trial. There were only 3 weeks before mediation and the Law Firm still took my case. Brian Holden was the Associate Attorney scheduled to be with me during mediation. Having him there was a huge relief and worth every penny. I truly feel my outcome would not have been as successful as it was without the support and assistance of Brian in addition to the backing of the Law Firm. Every single staff member that I encountered showed more concern about my case than expected. I know they have many clients other than me, but I sure feel like they went above and beyond to assured me they would do their best, yet also very forthcoming of worst-case scenarios based on their experience and how the law interprets a case like mine. My comfort and right away huge reduction of stress was greatly put at ease. In my mind, knowing that the worst-case scenario from them, I felt, would be better than any worst-case scenario I could have possibly gotten for myself. Bonus, I got exactly what I wanted and the help that I needed to make that possible. The outcome was better than I could have expected. If you take the time and go to their website and see the BIOS about the many memberships, accreditations and awards that they have, it shows, and I see why they received all these awards. Rightfully so! I assure you I knew nothing about this Law Firm, aside from what their website said before I hired them; my review is genuine. I wanted to share my experience, so others don’t miss the opportunity to work with this Law Firm. Go meet them in person, you will see! Will I hire them again if I need an attorney for any of the other services they provide? Most definitely yes!
I am a Southern California attorney that learned about Mike through a post on Reddit. Mike has an IT background, and I asked him for advice about some computer issues with my law office. He happily volunteered to help me, and offered great advice.
Mike has a clear dedication to the profession. I follow him on various social media websites and he is frequently sharing information that is pertinent to me as both an American citizen and as a human being. He also explains ideas in a way that gives me factual information but still leaves room to for me to decide my own viewpoint. His commitment to spreading relevant information to others is unmatched.
I had a very straight forward divorce with the exception of wanting the parenting plan to be specific in cases involving domestic violence and supervised visits. I sent an email and then spoke with Mike very shortly after. He seemed very confident and happy to help and once the fee was paid I dealt with a rude and un-thorough paralegal via email back and forth. I did not get all documents that were needed and the information was more vague than to pay an automated computer to do an online divorce for you. Waste of time, money and patience.
I hired the Moceri Law group to assist me with an ex parte and custody modification. For both assignments, the attorney I worked with agreed to do the work for a flat rate for each. While in the mids of the custody modification, the attorney I was working with left to another firm. I contacted Mike Moceri to find out who would be assigned to my case as I had some filing deadlines approaching. Mike said he was looking to hire someone that week and they would be in contact with me. Two weeks went by with no work from anyone at Moceri. I had called on two occasions and was told that the new attorney was just hired and would be reaching out to me. When he finally did reach out, his first statement to me was that he and Mike had discussed my case and they felt that my agreement had been fulfilled. He went on to state that if I would like him to continue, I would need to pay $4,500 as a retainer and all work would be charged at an hourly rate. I immediately messaged Mike and told him that I did not receive what I paid for- a custody modification, so there was no way that the agreement had been fulfilled. Because of the timeliness of my case, I hired another attorney. Mike contacted my new attorney and told him a sob story about not knowing that his former employee had entered into the flat rate agreement with me. He even went so far as to send him the hours spent on my case as a way to show he wasn’t making anything on it. Mike then offered to refund 25% of my fee. I could not believe that this guy is in business doing thinks like this. It’s clear to me that he doesn’t pay attention to what his staff is doing and I’ve yet to receive this refund. In speaking with the attorney that I had been using who left, he said that he hadn’t received his final paycheck from the Moceri Group and doubted he would based on the numerous issues this law firm had going on, internally.
Worst office and attorneys ever. I hired Hoken Aldridge from this office, 2 weeks before my court case, he gave me ONE day notice that he was quitting and handed me over to a new associate. The new associate Brian Neuharth, refused to communicate with me or even read my file before my case. I called the office and emailed several times and the paralegal Christine told me that he was over whelmed and would get to me when he had time. The DAY OF MY CASE, he showed up to court almost an hour late, hasn't even read my file, didn't know my name, congratulated the opposing party on the stand for being a "good parent" for showing up. I obviously lost, and when I attempted to contact Mike Moceri the supervising attorney to discuss the fiasco, the paralegal announced that he was working a trial and won't be able to talk to me for a month at least and refused to pass a message . I donated my money to this office, the office and never got a single hour of work out of any of them, and the entire office is unwilling to even reply to my concerns.
