Calkin, P.A., our lawyers assist people whose lives have been irrevocably changed due to the wrongful death of a loved one, injury in a motor vehicle accident, or any other accident resulting from the negligence of others. Mr. Koulianos also represents facilities (MRI, Chiropractic, Hospital, etc.) and individuals in first-party insurance claims involving Florida’s Personal Injury Protection (“PIP”) statute. Mr. Koulianos aggressively pursues reimbursement for treatment and/or services that have been rendered by medical professionals to individuals involved in automobile accidents. The purpose of Florida’s PIP statute is to provide to injured persons up to a limit of $10,000 for medical and other insurance benefits, without regard to fault, for motor vehicles required to be registered in the state of Florida. Mike Koulianos was born and raised in Tarpon Springs, Florida. He is a graduate of the University of Tampa, where he received his Bachelor’s degree in Criminology, with a minor in Law & Justice. He later attended The Florida State University College of Law to earn his Juris Doctor. While in law school, he served as an intern for Demetrios Economou, P.A., a personal injury/estate planning firm, Clerked for The Honorable Claudia R. Isom for the 13th Judicial Circuit in Hillsborough County, Clerked for The Honorable Virginia M. Covington in the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida, and interned at The Mills Firm, in Tallahassee, Florida. Mike also served as Florida State Law’s 2013 Student Bar Association President, was a member of Florida State Law’s Moot Court Team, First District Appellate American Inn of Court, and a member of Garnet and Gold Key Leadership Honor Society. In addition to protecting the rights of insureds, Mr. Koulianos enjoys quality time with family & friends, volunteering for various interests, and attending sporting events and concerts.
