I had been trying to get divorced for 10 years. I went through five divorce attorneys before Micky. The previous attorneys didn't seem to want to understand my situation and consequently we got nowhere. Micky was different, she listened to me, she asked questions, she studied my financial details and she came up with a solution that allowed me to get divorced without going to trial. I am forever indebted to Micky for getting me my divorce.
I've known Miss Yamatani both personally and professionally for 20 years. Micky is extremely hard working person who sincerely cares for the well being of her clients. After being let down numerous times by numerous lawyers I started to believe the stereotype of, "no such thing as an honest lawyer". However, Micky's persistent example of professional integrity was a breath of fresh air. She is an expert at her craft!
I had a very tough divorce case which involved many issues, including that of coordinating closely with the Japanese legal system. It was a very difficult case but eventually, I was able to reunite with my child who was taken by my ex-wife to Japan. The child now resides with me in Hawaii, and this could not have happened if I did not hire Ms Yamatani who understood the complex legal systems of these two countries.
I hired her some years ago. My relative knew her from her friend and I didn't do much thinking. All I got was a big legal bill and couldn't get what I was hoping for. The attorney should be someone who would protect your interest, but she only seemed to care about her business.
Worst lawyer ever. Charges exorbitant amount of money only to plead out. I've read to motion she submitted to the court. I cannot believe she really graduated law school. Her motion had so much mistakes and she cannot even write a grammatically correct English sentences. She told me she was suffering from depression because of marital issues and infertility. She came with swollen red eyes to court one time and she told me she was crying all night because she fought with her husband. Totally unprofessional and totally disgusted telling me about her personal issues. I wanted to fight my charges and told her I wanted to go to trial. She told me she doesn't do trials and that she was a prosecutor and know what the prosecutor can prove against me and that fighting the case was not worth it. She charged me $5,000 for 2 court appearances: 1 to plead not guilty and the second to plea out. Total waste of money for an incompetent depressed attorney with personal issues. DO NOT HIRE HER.
