Michael Cognata is an awesome attorney. I would recommend him to anyone facing 1st or 2nd DUI. I was charged with 2nd DUI with a very high back level above .20 in Van Nuys. With such a high BAC level this is considered an aggravated DUI and Michael was able to get me a plea deal of a standard DUI....mind you this is not easy to do especially in Van Nuys. Apparently the judge at Van Nuys also orders a mandatory minimum 3 day impound of your car in Van Nuys. I am a female and was sentenced to 96 hours of jail time at Lynwood and for all the women out there in a similar situation I was taken into custody at 10:30 am and released 8 pm the following day.
