Michael represented me years ago. Around 1991. Some of the first words out of his mouth were, I won't allow children to be used as tools in a divorce, if you want that I'm not the lawyer for you. Well, I didn't want that. In fact I was worried that a lawyer might want to use our son as a tool. When he said this I knew I had found the right guy. He was kind and walked me through the process. When my X didn't want to set up a college fund because,"Why would I want to send someone to college who might be a drug addict." Michael was floored and fought for my boy. Our boy was 6 at the time. I can sure pick um. Anyhow Michael worked with me to look out for our son. Visitation was fair and support was reasonable. Over all about as painless an experience as a divorce can be. Oh, and about the cost..... My retainer was $2000.00 of which we used $800 dollars. Best money I ever spent.

He represented me in a year long divorce that resolved at mediation. What impressed me was the respect he receives from both opposing counsel and the judiciary. When opposing counsel made nasty or untrue comments in correspondence or emails, Mr. Fisher always took the high road in his response. This kept the contentious nature of divorce to a minimum. His partner, Rich, is also top notch.

Mr. Fisher was my attorney on a divorce case against my wife. I'm going to try to list this as clearly as possible for a quick read. Upon consultation, I felt Mr Fisher was knowledgeable and well spoken. I was taken aback by his hourly fee which was over 400 dollars an hour but I retained him as I figured, if he was this expensive he must be good. It wasn't until I got another lawyer a couple of years later to re- visit my custody agreement that I found that there were numerous errors in his consults that ended up costing me another small fortune to correct and a lot of pain and agony dealing with the mess of a CCA I had. I also have to mention that he was extremely expensive and now I see that on his web site he purports himself to be more of a pre nuptial attorney, which is probably more suitable for him and his skill set and also the types of clients he can attract since his fees are very high. Unless you have a pile of money and a tolerance to spend without regard, I would never trust this attorney with my money. I do say this very very frugally and consciously. This man went to the extent to ask me what people in my field usually make. He was very interested in what my income potential was. Of course, every attorney gets to see all of your financials from which can get a very good idea of what your spend tolerance is. Don't ever think these attorneys don't think about it. Every one of them does. They are a business. Additionally, now that I am a bit older wiser and more informed, I would not trust Mr. Fisher to go into a courtroom on my behalf and maybe it was a blessing in disguise that we settled before we walked in. As a post script, I would love to put my name on here ( and talk to anybody regarding my situation to potential new clients who might be considering him) but I'm sure that Mr Fisher once he sees this review, will try to get it expunged. 30 other joy of being an attorney. You can erase all negative remarks. Good luck in the shark infested waters.

I hired Mike Fisher to represent me. Being a novice to the world of Family Law I tended to trust him. He proposed some strategies that I followed because I believed in him. We lost. Wasn't even close. He put a lien on my house when I refused to pay.
