Since his admittance to the Florida Bar in 1992, Michael S. Tobin has taken great pride in the practice of law and leads a successful real property law firm caring for the individual needs of its clients. Having grown up watching his father work deals as a broker and property manager, Michael’s sense of pride in his work is personal.Michael’s practice focuses primarily on real property transactions and disputes—both residential and commercial. His practice includes significant work as a title insurance agent, and he works with a large number of banks and mortgage lenders. Michael represents a number of licensed real estate brokers in commission disputes and licensing issues. He also handles probate and estate matters. Michael constantly draws on his past legal experiences and his large network of contacts in both the legal and related real estate industries to help his clients navigate and resolve their legal issues.Michael’s work ethic developed and refined in law school, remains at the core of his professional practice as an attorney. During his education, he invested substantial time in trial and moot court competitions at the Broward County Courthouse and clerked for many small and mid-sized firms. Michael learned important lessons from every attorney he worked for. Client relations, negotiation with opposing attorneys, practice management, and courtroom decorum were all part of his real-life law curriculum. This served him well when was hired immediately out of law school by a well-respected Miami firm.After passing the bar in 1992, Michael S. Tobin worked as an associate for Rosenberg & Rothman, P.A. In 1994, Tobin and Michael Rothman partnered to form the firm of Rothman & Tobin, P.A, which after 22 successful years became Tobin & Associates P.A., upon Mr. Rothman’s retirement from private practice. The Firm recently celebrated its 25th anniversary. Michael has created a company culture centered around caring for the needs of its clients. Having employees invested in this mission allows him to provide great benefit and value, with the experience and expertise to back it up.Michael frequently lectures for real estate brokers, lenders and young attorneys on matters of real property law. He is extensively involved in the broader legal and real estate communities. He is an active member of the Real Property Probate and Trust Law Section of the Florida Bar, past Chairperson of the 11th Judicial Circuit Florida Bar Grievance Committee, current President of the North Dade & the Beaches Real Estate Council, and Board member of the Miami Beach Jewish Community Center.Michael’s deep local roots enhance the sense of pride he has in his ongoing legal career. Staying consistent with the principals of the firmthat he and Mr. Rothman first founded, Michael plans to continue advocating for his clients for many years to come.
