About
In 2018 I moved to Arizona and am licensed here as well as in Washington state. The main focus of my current practice is estate planning in the southern Arizona region, with some family law cases as well. I was in practice in Kitsap County, Washington for 26 years. I started working in the law as a Deputy Prosecutor for the county and then later for several years as a special prosecutor for two local municipalities. I am still available to handle some Washington cases in estate planning. I am also trained as a mediator and have mediated numerous disputes. In addition to my law practice I am a musician and I play jazz in local clubs.

I worked with Mike about eight months ago and had a very positive experience. He was attentive, trustworthy, and extremely knowledgeable. He returned phone calls and emails promptly and always offered excellent advice and counsel. He kept me in the loop at all times and handled my (rather difficult) case with care and confidence. In addition, he is extremely intelligent, kind, and his rates are more than reasonable. I highly recommend him, and would certainly hire him again.
This attorney has done several jobs for me. He handled my divorce and child custody agreement in a very professional and thoughtful manner. He was very prompt when returning all my phone calls and request for information on my case. I also found him to be very knowledgeable. He was kind and caring as well. He has also drawn up my will and updated it. I think that his fees are reasonable and fair for the services that he provides. I will use his services again if needed.
I retained him and met on a couple of occasions, he has failed to keep me informed as to the status of my pending divorce and custody dispute! Doesn't return phone calls, or emails. I wish I could get a refund to retain a true professional to handle my case...
I have rated this lawyer one star because this is the minimum rating. If I could I would have rated him lower based off of my experience with him. I hired this attorney to do a 2nd parent adoption with no father’s consent due to the pregnancy coming from an unknown sperm donor. After he filed the paperwork I ordered the report from a social worker that he recommended. Once the report was completed I contacted Michael to let him know when it would be in his office and let him know that I would like to schedule the hearing right away. I sent e-mails and made approximately three phone calls to find out status to which he wouldn’t call me back. I tried to limit my contact since he charges $260 an hour. Later he said that he was having phone problems. When we finally went to court the judge cut him off to let him know that he had approved plenty of 2nd parent adoptions and knows how it works. We were granted the adoption 3.5 years ago and I still have not received any closing financial documents from this attorney. I wonder if he is still trying to justify how he took extra money from a family who trusted him to work for them. With the phone calls and e-mails I would say he could justify an hour. Another hour in court and an hour in paralegal fees give him a generous 3 hours. Looks like Michael likes to charge extra money an hour if he can so watch out when you hire him.
