Mike, in discussions with the Prosecutor and Police officer, was able to get a driving without a full license (had permit) dismissed (case centered on a peculiarity of DMV having no record of me having a prior Va license of which had at least for 20-25 years prior). And Mike also was able to reduce a red light infraction to driving while not paying attention, averting a potential $350 fine and 3 demerit points to I believe no points with no report to DMV, and a 75$ fine
I retained Mr. Sprano after a very unfortunate event that resulted in 2 charges. He provided a free initial consult and offered reasonable fees to defend me. My 2 charges were supposed to be trialed the same day except there was a lot of administrative mistakes and confusion created by the police department. He intervened to mitigate the mistakes made by the police and kept me informed of my updated court dates. Mr. Sprano provided me with options presented to me by the prosecutor on the day of my first trial, but he ultimately left the decision up to me, whether I would plead guilty for a lesser penalty or go to trial. I felt strongly against a guilty plea. I wanted to fight for my life and reputation, so I asked him to defend me at trial so the judge could decide on my verdict. The outcome of my first court date was better than the deals offered by the merciless and aggressive prosecutor. The prosecutor was only interested in finding me guilty, shutting me up, and shutting down the case before I had the opportunity for a fair trial where I could be treated as innocent until proven guilty or present my side of the case. I told Mr. Sprano that a conviction would destroy my life as well as my career. He understood my concerns and defended me through the trial. I prayed to God that I wouldn't hurt anymore over this case and the result of Mr. Sprano's defense at my first trial was the answers to my prayers. I will be on probation for 1 year and the charge will be dismissed if I meet all the conditions of my probation. I'm hopeful and have faith that Mr. Sprano will help me to get the best possible outcome at my next court date for the second charge with his expertise, professionalism, and representation. I believe he does have his client's best interest in mind. I'm very grateful.
I hired Mr. Sprano last December to represent my wife in a grand larceny case in Virginia. From the start he was very clear on what needed to be done and explained our options fully to help us prepare for the case. He managed to reduce the charge to petite larceny and no additional charges or penalty against my wife. His rate for handling our case was very reasonable and I would strongly recommend him to anyone who needs a competent attorney.
I hired Mike (and Kaveh Noorishad) last April shortly after being arrested for counterfeiting. I was originally looking at a worst case scenario of 5 years in a minimum security Federal prison. However, between the two of them, they negotiated a plea deal with an 18-month sentence cap and I was able to avoid Federal prosecution. Given the details of my case, I couldn't have hoped for a better result.
I had a felony case del with last year by Mr. Sprano. His firm was very responsive and helpful with all of my worries throughout my case. Mike told me what would happen and that's what did happen. He made all of the stress I built up in my mind much easier.
We were given a recommendation, by a prominent DC Metro lawyer and also family friend to use the Sprano Law Firm based on the scenario my son was facing. Michael and Alene Sprano were both hired to help our son get through what was a serious and nightmarish issue. We relied on both of their experience with the local school system and knowledge of juvenile court to keep us focused on the best outcome as well as provide us with peace of mind that they were on top of this situation the entire time. I truly believe that if not handled the proper way, this situation could have resulted in very harsh consequences. As soon as Mike and Alene understood the case before them, the both became huge advocates for my son which made the entire process seem brighter. Their professionalism, zealous and tireless efforts to keep the proceeding in the right perspective, brought a sense of comfort that we had the right people at the right time. I would highly recommend them now and in the future for any legal matters.
I engaged Mike Sprano to guide me through a challenging criminal case that had no direct on-point precedent. It was my first experience with the criminal justice system and I faced long odds to mitigate my charges. I found Mike to be very detailed in working with me to help me understand the charges, the process and the key decisions ahead of a trial. Mike took the time to make sure I understood the potential outcomes and he recommended steps I could take ahead of trial to mitigate my offense. When it came to the actual trial date, Mike advocated my position assertively given the proactive steps I had taken to address the charges. He negotiated what I believe was the best possible outcome I could have expected. And I was relieved with the disposition of my criminal case. Given his attention to my case, my status calls, and our trial preparation meetings -- and the outcome; I highly recommend Mike Sprano.
I met with Mr. Sprano as soon as I realized I needed a lawyer. The consultation was thorough and he was able to tell me what worst and best case scenario would be so I decided to hire him. I found his fee to be reasonable considering how much he knew and how well I thought things went. His advice was very helpful to me and the resolution of my case. I hope to never need legal services again but should the need arise I would not hesitate to reach out to retain him again.
Mr. Sprano recently assisted us in a civil case that we filed against our neighbor. We found him to be very knowledgeable and reassuring during a very stressful situation. He provided sound advice to us in preparation for court. When we went to court, he worked closely with the opposing attorney to resolve the case in our favor, avoiding a trial. Mr. Sprano is extremely professional and responsive. He was always prompt in responding to emails and phone calls, which we appreciated. His detailed guidance helped us understand what to expect during each phase of this process. We highly recommend Mr. Sprano for his expertise and professionalism, and would hire him again in the future if needed.
I was in a legal situation with my family that through trail and error I found out was very common with parents who raise kids in a strict manner. I didn't handle the situation well and when I needed legal advise I found Mike Sprano and arranged a meeting with him. From the first moment I walked into his office I felt I had found the right Lawyer for me. He explained every legal definition and gave me a better understanding of what I was dealing with. The case never went to trail and little does he know, his reputation as a Outstanding Defense Attorney had a lot to do with the outcome. I could never repay Mike for what he did for me and my family. I am proud to be a fellow veteran and to be somehow associated with this good man who served our country as I did. Integrity of the highest caliber and just an over all great human being. Thank you Mike for everything.
