I have practiced real estate law and litigation in Idaho since 1978. I grew up in Michigan, went to college in California, Law School in Colorado and served three years in the USAF in Texas.  I have been a partner in several law firms, but started Spink Butler, LLP in 1992. In addition to my practice areas, the firm handles complex land use planning and the related administrative processes.  In 2007 I became a member of the Oregon State Bar.  I have been transitioning my litigation practice to mediation for several years.  I have been engaged in a number of  community boards and non-profits over the years, typically as a board member and officer.  These included the Boise Chamber/Local Government, the Idaho Photographic Workshop, Bells for Books, The Cabin and the Boise Art Museum. I have an active practice in real estate and business, but am enjoying an active mediation practice - a process that I strongly believe in as an alternative to the unreasonably high cost of litigation. More details are available @ www.spinkbutler.com.
