I hired Mr. Redden to assist with a family conflict over a trust. Mr Redden was always prompt, professional and kind in all of his dealings with my family members as well as myself. He even provided wise advice, words of encouragement and at times comic relief. I highly recommend him. I can't say enough good things about Mr. Redden.
Michal's office has been extremely helpful to us dealing with the IRS. Above and beyond what they charge, which is not cheap but inline or below what other tax prepares charge. His assistant Stewart is the best. He has worked very hard for us and I would recommend this office above anyone else we have used. Doug
My accountant passed away in 2010 - less than a month before my taxes were do. I had several real estate and business transactions and Michael and his preparer did a fantastic job putting the pieces together. They also reviewed my previous two years of returns. This was no easy task. I have used them since - excellent lawyer and a nice person to boot.
*In 2012, I had a tax preparer lined up, only to cancel at the last minute on April 13, 2012. Mr. Redden had prepared my trust documents and had also sent out offers of tax preparations to his clients. On April 16th, I called Mr. Redden's office for help with an extension and filing. We met on the 19th and reviewed my tax information. Mr. Redden explained he had a colleague that prepares and files the tax returns. I never met with Mr. Stewart Cary, but we telephoned and emailed one another until June 15th when the tax preparations were completed and emailed to me. In 2010, I claimed my mother as a dependent having paid well over 50% support (she lived with me). There was no change to this situation for 2011. Mr. Redden informed me I did not qualify to file as Head of Household. Instead, I was filed as single. I fully expected to pay taxes with late penalties. * *In June of 2013, the IRS sent me a letter advising me that income information did not match the information reported on my tax return. The bill from the IRS was for $3,800+ of owed taxes and penalties. I did a thorough recalculation and found Mr. Cary had failed to include two 1099-R forms on my return. I met with Mr. Redden on June 12th and communicated my frustration and disgust. He offered and paid the penalty fee of $137.00 and chalked it up to human error. * *For 2012 taxes, I sought another tax preparer and asked to have my 2011 taxes reviewed. An amendment was filed for the 2011 taxes as Head of Household. * *Both the oversight of two (2) 1099-R's and denying to list my status as Head of Household caused me to lose faith in Mr. Redden's professional abilities. These are the facts as I know them.*
