Mike is a trial lawyer with over 27 years of experience in the county and federal courts throughout Pennsylvania.  He dedicates his practice to protecting the rights of those sued for medical malpractice including physicians, physician extenders, nurses, and hospitals.  Mike consistently obtains defense verdicts in cases involving many different medical specialties and issues ranging from significant birth injury to neurologic injury, adverse surgical outcomes, and alleged errors in medication and diagnosis.  Mike’s goal is to ensure that you and your practice can thrive with minimal interruption in the new healthcare landscape.  He handles each case strategically and takes time to learn and match your unique professional and legal interests to the individual case circumstances.Additionally, Mike has extensive experience successfully resolving cases through other creative approaches, when justified by unique case characteristics, including binding arbitration and mediation.  He also works closely with Saxton & Stump’s risk mitigation, quality improvement, and event management teams to reduce and avoid litigation risk.Before law school, Mike earned a Bachelor of Engineering Science degree, with honors, from Lafayette College and worked with General Electric’s Motor Business Group.  He earned his law degree from the George Washington University School of Law, with honors, where he studied trial practice and was a member of the Moot Court Team and the George Washington Law Review.
