I only went to him for consultation, strongly recommended by an excellent forensic accountant. I could not hire him because my spouse won't pay fees, but i definitely recommend him. I met probably 50 lawyers for many occasions, mostly lawyers in NYC. are thief and careless, but this is the first time I felt that person is a good humnbeing and very knowledgeable. His assistant is very careling oerson and very smart , knowing what problem in immediately. You'll be happy with him. Good luck.

Michael Paikin resolved my divorce case within 3 months after two lawyers failed to get even a negotiation meeting with the other party for 1 1/2 years. My previous lawyers had missed dates mandated by the judge and when I found Mr. Paikin, there was such a high probability that the judge would rule against me that two other lawyers refused to take over the case. Mr. Paikin took over the case including 1 1/2 years of unresolved issues and box loads of financial information, got his mind around the details in less than 3 weeks before the next session with the judge then explained the case in diplomatic, gentlemanly way to the judge, so clearly, that within 20 minutes, the judge understood the essential issues and got the case back on track. Mr. Paikin then arranged a negotiation meeting with my ex-spouse and the opposing counsel. Again, all was handled in a diplomatic way, but do not underestimate Mr. Paikin's quiet, pleasant demeanor - he zeroes in on the essentials, then, with a strong grasp of detail and logic, fires off his legal missiles until there is very little room for the opposition or, more important, the judge to disagree with the facts... despite mega lies by my ex-spouse.

I was a client of this attorney for a closing on property in New York City. He made numerous mistakes in the figures for expenses to come out of his escrow account where the down payment for my sale was held that would have left my money in his escrow account. These mistakes were very basic math and were never in my favor and ranged from many thousands of dollars to eight hundred dollars. I was told they were typos. One particular e mail he sent was very unprofessional and insulting. The original price for the closing was to be $2500 no matter what was involved and the bill at closing was over $3500.
