About
Michael currently concentrates his practice in corporate restructuring, business litigation, and state and federal appeals. Michael brings a diverse set of problem solving skills and expertise to his client’s issues due to his intellect and prior legal and business experiences. As an attorney at the law firm of Forrest L. Ingram, P.C. he was the lead attorney for chapter 11 restructuring clients, business litigation, and all appeals that were filed at the firm. He also mentored the younger associates and law clerks. Michael was also an associate at the firm of Tamari & Blumenthal, LLC, where he served as litigation associate in commercial cases for business clients throughout the state, represented international creditors in bankruptcy proceedings, and was counsel in commercial and residential issues related to property. While at John Marshall Law School, Michael served as a research assistant to Professor Allen Kamp and Professor Cliff Scott-Rudnick. He also served as an extern for The Honorable Judge Bruce Black in the Bankruptcy Division of the United States District Court in the Northern District of Illinois and was a legal clerk for The Honorable Judge Ponce de Leon of the Fourth Municipal District of Cook County. After graduation he assisted Professor Baastian Van Zelst from the Universiteit te Amsterdam with research and editing for his book calling on the European Union to adopt a version of the Uniform Commercial Code. Michael brings, among other things, an abundance of positive energy, a creative problem-solving approach to difficult matters, a sharp intelligence, and a cooperative spirit.
