Mr. Matthews practices in the areas of commercial litigation and risk management, construction law, and business transactions.  He represents clients in both state and federal court and has litigated a wide variety of contract, tort, construction, and business-related lawsuits.  While Mr. Matthews is well qualified to litigate disputes, he prefers to provide proactive counsel to mitigate potential risks before they arise.  In that regard, he provides practical, day-to-day business advice involving contract, employment, real estate, and insurance matters.     Mr. Matthews is rated AV® Preeminent™ 5.0 out of 5 for both legal ability and professional ethics by Martindale-Hubbell.
