Michael A. Mainetti acted as my public defender in a case where I was charged with not only a misdemeanor but a class B felony with possible jail time. My expectations going into this situation using a public defender were extremely low. When I first met with Michael he had stated to me that most likely I would end up convicted of at least one of the charges. Michael was able to make a plea deal with the district attorney and judge my very first day in court, the misdemeanor would be dropped completely and as long as I completed treatment I was to receive an ACD for the felony.
