About

When not practicing law, my favorite place to be is at home with my family and my dogs.  I enjoy staying active and participate in mutliple obstacle races throughout the year.  My husband is a Veteran and I have many family members in the military, so I feel privileged to work with Wills for Heroes.  It is an organization that provides free estate planning for emergencey responders and donating my time is only one small way I can give back to these brave men and women.

Lisa was very knowledgeable and attentive. She took the time to explain why she was asking certain questions regarding my estate planning and always made time to return my calls and emails the same day.

She doesn’t seem to understand the needs of her clients and seems Intimidated and judgmental by what allegations opposing counsel make on her clients . She questions me in a judgmental way on allegations leveled by opposing counsel and quotes ethics as a reason to withdrawal from counsel . It almost felt like defending myself to my own lawyer and literally had to explain myself to her about the false accusations. Terrible service for 400$/hr .

I fired Lisa as my attorney in my divorce. I do not believe she has the experience or personality to be an effective divorce attorney. I realized during the discovery phase that she simply was not aggressive enough with opposing counsel. After losing confidence in her, I hired an aggressive attorney to finish my divorce which finally settled at ADR. My petition even had to be amended because of her negligence. Now that my divorce is final, I am glad that I found a better attorney that helped me get the best settlement possible. Even if your case seems straightforward, just remember that no one knows how the opposing party/counsel will respond after you file for divorce. Best of luck in finding a better attorney!

Not only was Lisa intimidated by the court room setting, the judge, and the defendant… We learned that she even filed the wrong papers and sent the other party the wrong information. She’s a little too green to be practicing law and doesn’t have the experience when a client really needs it. With as much money as she charges and the fact that it directly impacts a family and children, I would encourage you to go somewhere else.

The reviews here and other places are true! She can’t handle anything related to a court room or other attorneys; not even unrepresented ones. When my wife pointed out that she was visibly trembling DURING a courtroom proceeding (wasn’t even a trial) she looked back at me and said, we’re going to lose. We did. I can’t speak to the firm she works for but she is too new as an attorney to be handling anything outside of a consultation. Please save yourself money and look elsewhere.

I hired Lisa to handle my divorce. My Ex hired a high-powered attorney that I feel Lisa may have been intimidated by. During our first hearing, Lisa was unprepared to cross examine my Ex wife about her day to day expenditures that were outrageous. Her failure to prepare for this hearing cost me quite a bit of money in temporary support. After the hearing was over, she literally ran down the hallway as opposing counsel was coming off the elevator. I asked her to be a bit more aggressive in moving the divorce along as we had made no progress in finalizing the proceedings, as a result, a few weeks before the next hearing, she sent me an email saying that she was quitting as my counsel, citing concerns over ethics...I questioned her on what ethics were being violated to which she did not respond. I was left to find another atty and push the next court date out extending the divorce proceedings even longer..costing me more money. Lisa is a nice person , I just would not hire her to handle anything where she has to face opposing counsel in a courtroom setting.

I retained the services of this attorney through her former firm at My Az Lawyers, and I was not aware that she was on her way out of this firm into another one, which is why she was trying to rush through my case and rush/persuade me to settle. She just wanted to get my case over with so she could move to her new firm. In the middle of my case when she was meant to finish drafting the decrees for court was when she left the firm. I was waiting for her to call me back with answers to the questions I had asked her, never heard from her so I called the firm to speak with her and found out she had left and my case was assigned to someone else that had no clue what was going on. She emailed me days later to tell me that I had the option to follow her if I wanted. No consideration to let me know prior, it was just absolutely unprofessional and ridiculous. She was not aggressive in pursuing my case, and basically talked me in to agreeing to something I know wouldn’t work because she didn’t want to put the effort since she was on her way out. As my attorney, I believed she was giving me the best legal advice and I thought the right thing to do was to follow it. Lisa was terrible at following up and letting me know what was going on throughout my case. She always had an excuse for why it was days before I’d hear back from her, with pending issues and situations going on, she placed zero priority in my case. She didn’t care. She was aware of abuse and harassment going on from the other party in my case, she advised me to save it for trial for my benefit, which I did, and I’ve suffered through this abuse and harassment throughout the duration then when we finally made it to trial she did not bring any of it up, and did not fight for justice or my case. Now I am in a rule 69 that is not working and have to go back to court for god knows how many more times to fix what she failed to do. I regret listening to her advise. I would have come out better having represented myself. I’ve paid $3K to this firm for her just to put me in the situation I am in with this never ending battle. If you are looking for an attorney to represent your best interest and actually put forth effort, I would avoid her. Your money and effort is better spent hiring someone else. I regret listening to her advice, it wasn’t advising what was best for me and my son, it was advise to get my case off her hands so she could move on. This attorney doesn’t even deserve one star, but in order to leave a review I had to click something.
