About
Mike focuses his practice on civil and commercial litigation. Before entering private practice, Mike served as judicial clerk to both the Hon. David Ebel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit and the Hon. Rebecca Pallmeyer of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. In these clerkships, Mike gained valuable research and writing experience—as well as exposure to diverse area of civil and criminal law. He recently served as Special Counsel for the State Public Defenders Office and in that capacity represented a Defendant in the Denver County Court. Mike graduated in the top five percent of his class from Georgetown University Law Center, where he was a Dean’s Scholar. He served as managing editor of The Georgetown Law Journal’s highly acclaimed Annual Review of Criminal Procedure. In his final year, he covered the U.S. Supreme Court as an intern for CQ Press. Mike earned his undergraduate degree (with highest honors) in History and Politics from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa. He was awarded a full scholarship there and was named outstanding senior in political science. He was editor of the Drake Undergraduate Social Science Journal. Between college and law school, Mike worked for the National Young Leaders Conference in Washington, D.C., first as an instructor and later as associate director of programs.
