I hired Mike to represent me for a low level misdemeanor charge. He was extremely difficult to get ahold of. I'd schedule a phone conference with him via the secretary and he would never call me. I'd have to call them and sit on hold for ten minutes waiting for him. He was very good at dodging questions and giving unclear answers. He was completely ineffective at negotiating a plea agreement with the county attorneys office. I was never able to get clear answers as to what strategies he used or tried with the county attorneys office. Nor could I ever get detailed information on how many times he talked to them and what was discussed. Due to financial issues, (he shouldve been fired) I was forced to plead guilty to a charge with serious lifetime repercussions with no plea agreement and face a judge at open sentencing facing the maximum possible fines and jail sentence. He showed up to my sentencing wearing a shirt and tie while I was in a business suit. The guilty plea he drafted had errors in it that I found out about from the sentencing judge. My biggest regret ever is hiring him and not finding someone better in the first place. Local attorneys I spoke with in town recommended him; but there has to be better.
