There was no follow-up or communication thereafter, and it took me nearly 4 weeks of phone calls and repeated emails to get him to finally even respond and acknowledge the fact that I wanted to change attorneys and settle up with him. He kept $1200 out of my retainer. The overall impression was one of great disorganization. I walked away feeling I had received almost no counsel or useful information. During my career I've worked with a number of business attorneys before and can say that this particular transaction was not professionally conducted. I received no reports, no information of substance, just dropped $1200 into the void.
