She gave me some leads and ideas as she is overwhelmed right now. Gave me her availability which is appreciated.
One good thing about the law is that it is mostly black or white and Merle can help you understand where you stand. We highly recommend setting up an initial consultation with Merle to determine if there are legal grounds for further action. At the very least, you will get an expert opinion and possibly clarity of action for your consultation fee. For us throughout the past several years, Merle was consistent, professional, knowledgeable, experienced, respectful, honest, available, prompt, and reasonably priced. She gave us information on paths we should take. Merle represented us in two mediations regarding what we believed to be an employer not acting in accordance with law. We are very happy with the services Merle provided and highly recommend contacting her.
She is very knowledgeable and kind. We went to see her with many questions about my workplace. She answered all of them and gave us very helpful advice. When we had other questions we emailed her and she responded almost right away giving us great of mind. while we did not need to hire her, we would do so in a second if the need arises
I can't state enough how grateful I was to have had Merle by my side through a recent legal matter. She was exceedingly knowledgeable and also honest and straight forward with me. Her rates were more than fair. Everything was done timely and the communication was great.
Merle is extremely professional and worked diligently to help me with my case. She knew the ins and outs of employment law and helped me reach a resolution. I fully recommend her to anyone looking for an ethical lawyer who really knows her stuff.
I cannot begin to say how thankful I am that Merle was my attorney during a very challenging time. Not only did she take a professional interest in my case but did so in a manner that felt personal as well. She made going through the process easier and was straight forward with me when necessary, Which in my case is often. My wife and I are beyond grateful for Merle and how she helped us.
Ms. Turchik is a forward-thinking attorney that follows through on matters. I am grateful to have received services from her. She is trustworthy and worked in alliance with concerns. I recommend her highly to others seeking employment-related issues.
Merle, was able to give me clear direction on how to proceed with the state board of nursing. Her guidance was crucial to my outcome.
She listened sympathetically about my charges of discrimination and unjustified termination. She stated that she needed to research intermittent FMLA and then contacted me back stating that the case just wasn’t worth enough, and I could represent myself. If I wanted to represent myself...why would I have paid her $300 for a consultation fee?!
She had no problem listening and sympathizing with my story of discrimination, harassment and wrongful termination. She led me to believe that she could help me, that she just needed to consult with her colleagues regarding the situation- she would be in touch. Over two months went by, I heard nothing. When she finally did get around to returning my call she let me know she had other things to do, she wouldn't handle my case. I believe she never consulted anyone and was simply placating me for an hour of her time worth $300. If I had known she was going to disregard my situation I could have sought help elsewhere. Instead she buttered me up, took my money, then went about her merry way. Very unethical.
