Melvin challenged issues in my case that I've never seen a lawyer even know about. I also overheard the prosecutor herself say that she's never had a request for the information he was asking for in discovery. Did more work than he was paid for. Seems to love being in the court room which is good. Very intelligent so you don't have to waste time walking him through everything about your case. He'd already figured most of it out without me telling him how I was wronged. He was available nearly 24 hours a day 7 days a week once I retained him.

Atty Welch is very knowledgeable and dedicated. He is very accessible, always returning my calls within 24 hours. He thinks well on his feet, and got good results in my case. All charges were dropped.

Our case was a long waiting case. Waiting on the system for about 9 months. Mel didn't keep us informed unless I asked. He wants his money up front and was clear that's what was important to him. He fought some for us but I saw he only did an average job. He wasnt thorough and when we did go in front of a judge he was scrambling at the last minute. He talked a big talk up front and motivated us to go after our case but in the end when he knew he couldnt win, he just took us for a ride. Right before our case was dismissed he offered most of our retainer back if we dismissed our own case. I chose no, so when the judge dismissed our case I asked for my retainer back since we couldn't pursue our case. He said there is nothing in our agreement that says I owe you anything back. Not a fair person and not someone I would go back to as clearly he didn't care about us.
