My experience with Attorney Melissa Rohrer could not have gone any better. I entered her office as an unmarried dad who was frustrated with the family court system, and the lawyer I hired before her. During consultation I told her that I wasn't seeking the traditional custody arrangement and that my ex sat on the other side of that fence. I wanted something more real and something more shared. She never dismissed my wishes, however, she did inform me that the road wouldn't necessarily be easy. Once, I officially hired her, she began going to work. She dismissed my other attorney, and corrected documents he screwed up on. Then she phoned opposing counsel and informed them that she was my new representative. Upon talking with them she knew that a collaborative agreement was not possible, and she recommended a custody evaluation. I hired her in February of 2015, as a frustrated and defeated father, and I am writing this review as a father who could not be happier with his custody arrangement. I see my son more than most dads do, and he spends a significant number of nights at my house. If you are a dad struggling with visitation, Melissa Rohrer is the attorney for you. She always has your back. She defends you, if you screw up, and she responds promptly to calls and emails.

All talk at consultation, left office very optimistic . At first meeting the assistant gathered necessary documents wrote notes on file for plan of action, documented on first page of file. The wrong info was used to file a paternity claim due to lack of communication and disorganization in the office, resulting in our lawyer dropping us via email 10 days before court. We sent the receipt picture of the documents as proof the assistant filled out for the list of issues to cover Melissa took no responsibility for not looking at it, and put blame at us for her mistake and immediately dropped us via a nasty text message. We should have read and headed the negative reviews before retaining her because all are true. She had our money, made the mistake, dropped us to avoid correcting her mistake, and claims she has nothing to do with her assistant’s notes on our file ( why have the assistant go over items with your on her behalf and have it in the file? ) ... lesson learned hard way head the reviews!

She doesn't care about you, she only wants your money. You never get to talk to her, and when you do she rushes you off the phone and makes you feel like an inconvenience. She will talk a good game when you consult her. Please don't fall for it. She will not make time to talk to you and you'll get emails left and right asking for money and made up itemized bill lists. I paid 2k and she never spoke with me after I retained her. Showed up for our settlement hearing unprepared, spent more time helping opposing counsel and my ex. Was very demeaning and did not support my case at all. Waste of time and money! I should have listened to all her terrible reviews because they were right. Settlement ended she walked out of the office never spoke to me. Horrible.

I just hired this attorney and literally she hasn’t done a thing other than manage to get court dates rescheduled resulting in more attorney fees. I plan on reporting her to the Bar Association. She is a total rip off. Very disappointed with her and her unprofessional staff/reception.

She has terrible listening skills, preferring to listen to herself instead of her clients. She does not follow thru on items pertaining to the case, and gave everything up to the opposition.
