About

 Sidney graduated from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a minor in Sociology. He graduated summa cum laude from High Point University with a Masters Degree in Public Administration. He graduated cum laude from North Carolina Central University School of Law with his Juris Doctor. While in law school, Sidney served as Editor-in-Chief for the North Carolina Central Law Review. He also served as a Teaching Assistant in Contracts I and II and Evidence. Sidney's article, "Blurring the Lines: How State v. Bowden Accurately Interprets the Meaning of Life Sentence" was published in Volume 32 of the North Carolina Central Law Review. 32 N.C. Cent. L. Rev. 122 (2009). Sidney also received a Book Award for obtaining the highest grade in Contracts I. Sidney worked as a judicial intern for the Honorable Cheri Beasley of the North Carolina Court of Appeals, where he helped research and draft legal opinions. During the same summer, he worked as a legal intern for Progress Energy and prepared legal memoranda in the area of Corporate Law. Sidney worked as a summer associate at Teague Campbell and joined the firm as a full time associate the following year. He concentrates his practice between workers' compensation and general civil defense litigation. He is a member of the North Carolina Association of Defense Attorneys, the North Carolina State Bar, North Carolina Bar Association, Wake County Bar Association, Capital City Lawyer's Association, Susie S. Sharp Inn of Court and the Burlington Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Incorporated.
