About
Maureen Foley Kufro joins Collins/Waltrip with nearly nine years of trial experience. Maureen entered William & Mary Law School in 2003 as a “non-traditional” student, a single mom of three young daughters. After graduating in 2006 in the top 11% of her class, Maureen began her legal career as a prosecutor with the City of Newport News Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office, serving on the Drug Team and the Juvenile & Domestic Relations Team. Maureen became an Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney with the Williamsburg/James City County Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office in 2008, prosecuting juvenile offender cases and crimes involving child abuse, neglect and exploitation. Maureen also served as the Office’s contact for the Southern Virginia Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. Now practicing family law and adoption law, and accepting court appointments as a guardian ad litem for children, Maureen continues her compassionate dedication to individuals, families and children, through whatever difficult situations and challenges they face. A native of Long Island, New York, Maureen moved to Virginia in 1989. Maureen’s daughters, now grown, remain her pride, joy, and purpose. Maureen lives in Williamsburg with her husband, Jesse, and their dog, Riley.
