First of all I have no affiliation with Matt outside of my relationship with him as his client. The first time we met was in in a client/attorney capacity and since then have had only professional correspondence So forget the idea that this is some artificial review by someone associated with Matt to pump up his online reputation. Matt is the first lawyer I have ever hired. Like many, I was a little jaded by the stereotypes/jokes about dishonest lawyers and was almost expecting a negative experience. In our initial meeting (for which he charged me $0.00) he basically tried to talk me into pursuing a method to immigrate my fiance into the US that didn't even require legal services (basically attempting to pursue a work visa). And he was totally sincere about that (not just trying to win my trust) to the extent of talking with my fiance (in ANOTHER free consultation) to determine the feasibility of this approach. After speaking with my fiance, Matt and I jointly determined that such an approach was probably not workable (since her education/experience did not qualify). After contracting his services for a fiance visa, various circumstances arose in my life that brought the fiance visa approach into question (due in no part to his services which were executed flawlessly).
