Brinegar is an outstanding attorney whom I am confident handles complex matters of litigation with incisive approaches based on sound strategy. I hold a PhD and have had many outstanding colleagues who are practitioners in oversight/corporate/nonprofit specialities with law degrees. In comparison, I can state that Brinegar stands out among the best and the brightest. You will be able to tell that he knows what he's doing after just a brief conversation and I expect that you may be surprised (as I was) by how smart he is. He works hard, is courageous and comes through on time as well, which is just what you want in your counsel.

I went to Matthew to get legal advice before getting married. I knew there were pre-nups, health care directives, wills and living wills that my fiance and I needed to think about before tying the knot. I didn't have any idea what any of these contracts meant, how they were constructed or how I should approach them. Matthew was fantastic about slowly walking me through every aspect of every kind of agreement, giving me examples to help me understand, and answering all of my questions. He was extraordinarily helpful, accommodating and communicated promptly with me every step of the way. I absolutely plan to continue going to him for any and all of my future legal needs. =]

Mr. Brinegar was kind, patient and understanding upon initial contact and offered advice. He listened to my situation carefully, despite my own difficulties explaining myself. He did a thorough and complete job answering my question, explaining my situation to me so it is clear. He was extremely prompt. He told me what I needed to know, why I needed to know it and also told me how to improve things. He was straightforward and honest about fees, and what he is able to do in my situation. There was one thing he doesn't usually handle. He told me, and recommended a solution that is useful and correct. I would/will contact Mr. Brinegar again if I needed help with the things he deals with. I felt relief that I could speak openly and was treated with dignity. Mr. Brinegar is the kind of attorney I would want to work with me. He explained everything I need to know, made suggestions, gave me a detailed explanation of what I might do, AND how to do it, which is fabulous. I have had a very positive experience with Mr. Brinegar.

I called asking if a workmen's comp settlement offer will affect my SSDI award. If yes, how to reduce the impact. He told me it will not affect my SSDI but could affect my future SS income when I reach retirement age. He answered my questions thoroughly and patiently. He gave me wording to use in any settlement to reduce the impact of a cash disbursement/settlement.
