About
Matthew C. Russell was born and raised in Western Tennessee. He is a veteran of the United State Army(Airborne Infantry LRS), where he was stationed in a Long Range Surveillance unit in Germany. During his enlistment he served one tour of combat in Operation Iraqi Freedom. While in Iraq Russell went on over sixty (60) combat missions and survived being ambushed twice. For his service in combat, he was awarded the Army Commendation Medal.After returning from the war, Russell enrolled in classes at the University of Memphis where he studied Political Science and English. While studying at the University of Memphis, he was elected as the President of the Political Science Honors Society on campus. Russell graduated from the University of Memphis cum laude with a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Political Science.Russell then moved to Oklahoma to attend law school. In law school he was on the Dean’s List, Dean’s Honor Roll, and Faculty Honor Roll. He also served on Law Review and was elected Vice President of the University’s honor society Phi Delta Phi. Russell received his law degree from the University of Oklahoma.After graduation, Russell has been admitted to the practice of law in all Oklahoma state courts, as well as, the Federal Court for the Western District of Oklahoma.Russell’s primary areas of practice are Personal Injury Law, Medical Malpractice, Wrongful Death, Professional Negligence, and General Civil Litigation. Additionally, Russell is experienced in the areas of Probate Litigation, Family/Domestic Litigation, and Criminal Defense.
