My family acquired some lakefront property and decided to form an Limited Liability Company to manage it as a business within our family. We really had minimal knowledge or experience in this area. We hired Matt to steer us through this process, and found him very helpful. He provided clear explanations of the formation of the LLC, offering us guidance and options along the way to fine tune it to meet our particular situation. He answered our myriad questions in a knowledgeable, skilled fashion, meeting with us both in person and via Zoom and emails as often as we needed. The end result is a functioning LLC that is formulated to meet our family’s needs and specifications as well as fulfill all the the legal requirements of a licensed corporation. This was not an easy process, but his expertise and calm demeanor got us effectively past many difficulties. I would highly recommend Matt Lind for your family’s legal/estate planning needs.
I have hired Matt Lind on three separate occasions. First a Prenuptial agreement, a Cease and Desist letter for an unruly Neighbor and lastly a warning letter for an Easement issue. Matt exudes superior intelligence, wittiness and is generally a pleasure to speak with throughout these matters (which are stressful). For any legal matters that come up in my busy life, I will first inquire if Matt Lind works in that field of law and if not, I would feel comfortable with his recommendation for another attorney. In the ever growing City of Poulsbo, Matt is the best you'll find.
I have worked with Matt for over 7+ years. He was corporate counsel on a few different companies from my past, and most recently has become the same again after I joined a new organization. Matt has always been fantastic to work with. He is not only knowledgable about subjects I need help with, but he is quick to respond when immediate help is needed. He always has our best interest at heart, and lets us know all options available. I would highly recommend Matt to anybody seeking a well rounded attorney!
I have had the opportunity to work with Matt on many occasions. He has assisted me with corporate structuring, litigation and real estate related matters. Many of my legal issues are complex and involved. I have found Matt to have the uncanny ability to strategize and define potential pathways to reach the least complicated solutions. I have been very satisfied with his counsel and the outcome of the many matters on which he has guided me. I will continue to use Matt on all my legal matters and consider him a trusted advisor. He has a great deal of integrity and I always feel I am getting a thorough and complete picture of my situation.
My work involves home/commercial construction management, land development and involvement in both local and state land-use legislation on behalf of others. A good chunk of my time is spent working with my clients’ attorneys. I have gotten to know Matt Lind over the years, because several of my clients retain him. Matt has proven to be competent, honest and hard working. I have seen his counsel and calmness help resolve many “conflicts” before they got out-of-hand. He’s also proven worthy of dealing with personal estates and keeping harmony among families. I once heard a wise judge say, “A good lawyers know how to litigate, great lawyers know to resolve conflict without going to the last resort (court).” I consider Matt part of the latter.
I have hired Matt for various legal projects. most important was a situation in a joint business venture that was misrepresented to me and Matt helped me resolve the issues with minimal impact. He has also worked on property transaction's as well other business corporation's that I own. I would highly recommend Matt for his services.
My wife and I used Mr Lind for estate and trust planning, LLC formation, and general advice. He was great to deal with and very knowledgable in all categories mentioned above. Highly recommend if you live in the Kitsap region.
Matt was a huge help to us recently. He has helped us with business contracts and negotiation. He has also helped us form an S-corporation and file all necessary forms. Thank you Matt for all your hard work. I always had piece of mind that things would get done quickly and done right the first time.
Matt Failed to capitalize on the facts of my case. He told me our strategy, but failed to follow his own strategy of waiting for an offer to come to us, but he still charged me with meetings with the opposition with no offer on the table. We never received any replies to requests for information, but he was very insistent that we provide every scrap of paper from my personal files to the opposing lawyer before any discovery or even before he made our case. When we went to mediation, he was not familiar with the points of my case, and I explained for myself. I gave him information from my personal files, neatly and in folders, when it was returned, not everything was returned and it was a mess...not very professional. the outcome of my case was far less than expected and cost far more than the services I received. the facts are that I gave away part of my property for a right of way, needlessly.
Matt was referred to us by one of his associates, Richard Tizzano. Matt is not responsive by phone and extremely slow with completing the most basic tasks. He took several months to complete setting up an LLC. He met with the prospective members numerous times answering questions about both the LLC and the Special Needs Trust from which the assets would come. Subsequently, he took on the case of dissolving the SNT, in which only some of the beneficiaries were involved in the LLC. He never met with both of the co-executors of the SNT, and was conflicted in his actions by favoring the members of the LLC over the other beneficiaries. He never took meeting requests or returned phone calls from the co-executor who was not part of the LLC! It was a definite conflict of interest on his part. He made numerous errors in his calculations and capital gains tax implications. He definitely should not be advertising himself as a Real Estate attorney.
