I hired Matt many years ago regarding a case where I was in my car at a stop and essentially rammed by a truck owned by a large corporation. I was young and did not know the questions to ask. He refused to take the case of property damage and only wanted to take the injury. Months would go by with no contact and unreturned phone calls. To my knowledge he talked to the corporate loss specialist only 3 times. The guy ended up calling me to ask if I got a new lawyer he was unaware of because he wanted to close the case out. I eventually had to get others in his firm involved to get a response from him. He advised me to avoid court because he didn't know what the jury would do. Of course the stress of me fighting over my cars value, medical expenses and dealing with a corporate loss mitigation specialist didn't help any of this. Almost a year later the negotiated payout was less than $7000, which didn't even cover my medical expenses and required me to sign a waiver even though I was still in physical therapy. My vehicle was fixed but with low quality parts. My financial situation was so bad I didn't think I had a choice at the time. The amount of time spent on my case was very minimal and he failed to protect my interests or my pocketbook.
