Mr Brimley was more than accommodating to my son during his divorce. Matt was patient when Mike was slow, helpful with wording. He was so kind. I would highly recommend him for anything.
Matt Brimley has taken the time to get to know not only my Case, but my situation in general. He sees what needs to be done and carries everything through.
I retained Matt for two reasons, his prices were reasonable and I was broke. To make a long story short, in a divorce with no assets, the entire process, including sitting down with my ex and her lawyer on three separate occasions, absolutely nothing was accomplished. In the end I went from being a FT father to seeing my kids on wednesday and every other weekend. Matt argued for nothing in my defense, and that worked out just the way you would assume it would...I got screwed. In the end we paid for a 3rd party to do the work (for 200.00) that Matt should have done. Still can't figure out how a guy like this keeps his license and makes a living at what he does....some people were born to work in food service, Matt should be one of them...
I hired Matthew through a reduced rate arrangement, because I was seeking a protective order. The case was cut and dry. I had mountains of case numbers, police reports, and even two records of arrest, that the other party had for domestic violence. I had text message screenshots proving he'd perjured himself. My Victim advocate, Christina with the sheriff's office, was much more informed than Matthew. She submitted my "evidence" and the "exhibits" because Matthew hadn't. In court, Matthew didn't let me speak, in responseto the commissioner when he asked me a question about something from years ago. Matthew clearly hadn't even looked at my paperwork that I provided him, which was very thorough. He knew very little about my case and seemed...like...afraid to talk when the commissioner asked him a direct question. 4 people that were in attendance in the courthouse that day, watching the proceedings, including 2 victim advocates and a friend that is a lawyer, all told me to file an "inadequate representation" motion, because Matthew was bumbling through it all and obviously didn't know a thing about my case. Matthew was a nice guy. But, as a lawyer, please don't sign up to help with protective order cases for cheaper, if you aren't going to actually do any work. This may have been an easy, small paycheck for him, but it is my Life! This wasn't a civil lawsuit for money or something--it was a request to ensure my safety! And now I live in fear every day, as threats and abuse from this person continue.

Mr Brimley was more than accommodating to my son during his divorce. Matt was patient when Mike was slow, helpful with wording. He was so kind. I would highly recommend him for anything.
