Mr. Birk was wonderful and made this experience as pleasant as possible. He made sure I understood all of my options and answered all of my questions with a great deal of knowledge and care. He was able to work around my hectic work schedule and communicate through, email, phone calls and texting. We had seamless communication through the process and he let me know what to expect during each step. I plan on suggesting him to anyone who may need an employment attorney.

Mr. Birk was the second attorney I spoke to about my situation with my job and he was more helpful and informative than one of the largest firms in Jacksonville, FL. He is easy to reach and returns calls promptly. He has been practicing law since 1998 even though this profile of him says 2 yrs. I would highly recommend Mr. Birk and would gladly return to him myself if ever needed.

I was referred to this attorney by FL Bar Lawyer Referral Service for a 30 minute consultation to review the legal documents I'd prepared and answer some questions I had on the legal process involved in evicting a tenant from a "15 Day Notice to Vacate" served a week earlier. Part of the problem stems from the FL Bar Lawyer Referral Service referring me to this attorney with little to no experience handling legal evictions, but Mr. Birk should not have allowed the consultation to have even taken place given his almost total lack of experience and knowledge of the Florida legal eviction process before I was called back from Fisher, Butts, Sechrest & Warner to set up the time/date of the consultation. Matthew Birk's frequent and typical response was "I don't know", even when I point blank asked what other documents, if any, need to accompany the Complaint for Eviction and Summons I had prepared for filing for a legal eviction! Perhaps my encounter with this attorney illustrates the wise saying that "A specialist knows more and more about less and less" given that this attorney is an alleged legal specialist in labor and employment law, and surely not in FL real estate and/or tenant/landlord law. But he surely insisted on the consultation fee being paid as I was walking out to the receptionist area after letting him know he was is no way qualified to consult with me on this matter. Personally, I feel like he owed me money for wasting my time and breath consulting with him!
