Over the course of the last two years I have had great progress with getting my adult adoption to go through. It was suppose to be a Non Parental Custody agreement at first, but then I turned 18. At first my adoptive parents and I gave up on the possibility, until Mary Katherine suggested an adult adoption for us. It took a little bit of time because of issues with my birth mother and then some family issues popped up on my end holding the adoption off for a little while, but Mary Katherine was patient and helpful in various ways and avenues for this possibility to occur. I would definitely recommend her to anyone who has a legal issue with family law.

I have been in dispute with this attorney in regards to money owed. That has settled. However Ms. Plas deliberately violated our attorney client privedledge by identifying me with a disability, that she had no legal reason to state in this matter. I am taking this issue to the state bar, as it does appear that Ms. Plas will not protect the attorney client privedledge

1. The attorney took action in my case without providing me an outline and any ideal of projected costs. She simply insisted on $3000.00 retainer. 2. I specifically requested an outline of her anticipated representation and she ignored me. 3. Attorney clearly stated it was not her intention to do anything accept what the client wanted. However upon receipt of the partial retainer Attorney went wild, and spent the entire partial retainer and than fired herself from case and than requested yet another $2000.00 to clear my alleged debt to her. The attorney is simply in my opinion engaging in fraud. I told her to communicate with me regarding her decisions to contact people and she blew me off. Attorney contacted just however she wanted and became defensive and argumentative when I told her to stop contacting certain persons and agency's. What is funny but very expensive for me is she refused not to accept my explanation about something and states she contacted a person many times, of course charging me. The laugh is that this person has retired and the billing dates of her bills are after this person’s retirement! I instructed the attorney to deal with matter as a contract violation and well once again she ignored me and did exactly what she wanted, than expecting me to pay her bill even though she did not clear contacts with me. I now have to report this to the state bar and institute small claims action against her to get a ruling and hopefully a fair review of actual money owed.
