Ms George quoted me a price of $1500 to get my $490 property through settlement, adding that we would probably get some of that money back. I signed the contact then heard nothing for months. No returned phone calls. Finally was told everything was ready for an additional $2600! I had 3 other realtors review the settlement sheet and one attorney that all agreed her priceing was double what was customary. None had ever seen $3000 in attorney fees including her own parter. She thought it to be a mistake so she interviend and we were sent a revised settlement sheet that is now $160 higher than the first. The contract we signed said we agreed to pay "resonable" fees so our argument is based on that. We are still in the process of figuring out what to do next. Ms George has 6 other properties that she has doubled the fees on. The owners of those are also fighting the price change.
