I’ve been working with Marlena for the last 6 months on more of an uncommon type of case. While my case is not resolved yet i am confident that we will have a favorable outcome. Marlena has maintained great communication with me since the day she took my case. She not only responds to my emails very quickly , but also answers my questions clearly. She has given me realistic expectations and i appreciate how direct she is.

Ms. Grundy-Dietzway was a superb resource that was referred to me by my attorney that was not well versed in these business matters. I was in need of immediate help wherein Marlena was indeed of excellent service.

I was overwhelmed by a health care coverage issue. Marlena listened to my problem and was professional, reassuring, and very helpful. I feel she has given me good advice, has done careful research, and has made a good case for me.

I had a legal question, which Ms. Grundy-Dietzway answered quite completely. The answer was accompanied by correct documentation, which without, any answer would have just been more words from another uninterested stranger. I can't thank her enough, for actually taking the time, first, just to reply at all, and second, to supply documentation that would confirm her reply. Ms. Grundy-Dietzway made a difference, in this mans world, and I appreciate her efforts. If I were to need to hire an attorney for my issue, I would look to her first. Thank you so much...

“I have known Marlena for 2 years. During this time I have have consulted and hired her for various legal matters. Before I met Marlena, I did hire other attorneys in the Seattle area. I would put Marlena in the top 1% of all those attorneys. I have appreciated her level of mastery of the law and how to apply it for a successful outcome. She is extremely skilled in her profession and has a calm educational approach with her clients. Furthermore, I found her to be extremely ethical, diligent, and fair. What could be a complex and stressful legal matter - she makes seem easy and stress free.”

On consultation for services in health care employment contract review and negotiation, I had 2 questions regarding specific services provided and associated fees. While I expected to pay more than the initial rates quoted by this and other firms, I respectfully asked what basic services the firm would provide that would exceed that of the basic services I'd expect from a less costly service (both termed "contract review"). The reason I asked was that their quoted retainer fee was double what 3 other firms quoted. Ms. Grundy's response included a complaint that the firm's retainer fee included a "low profit margin" already and that they would be charging an additional fee for time spent on a conflict of interest waiver. It had a clear message that I'd be fortunate to have this firm negotiate my contract, but now that I had asked those questions, that the principal attorney would not consider me as a client. To be clear, my expectations were 1) that my questions about what services a firm provides for their fees would be answered and done so respectfully, and 2) that a professional service provider would approach clients with a perspective that the relationship would be mutually beneficial, if not that the firm would be the fortunate one to have the client's business. Words fail to describe how unpleasantly surprised I was by the response and am ultimately grateful to have had that happen before any services were formally retained. I do hope this review is constructive to both the firm and future potential clients.
