As a small business owner we are subjected to frivolous lawsuits. In addition I was feeling the effects of surgery which affected my cognitive thinking. Both combined presented a difficult and frustrating scenario for Mark and Kristen. They performed well and settled the case and kept it within the budget! I've met with thousands of businesses over the years selling products and services and you can assess the tenor of the office by the receptionist. Happy Receptionist, Happy Employees which enhances the customer experience. Thank you for putting up with my cognitive disability and getting me out of the frivolous lawsuit
My house was in foreclosure, and I was in over my head trying to understand the legal proceedings. I came accross Mark Sank at the Stamford court house while waiting for my docet to come up. I had watched numerous attorneys approach the bench and defend their clients. When Mark got up and spoke, he was a league all his own. He was by far the most accomplished lawyer in the court room on that day. Two years later, during which time I was not required to make a mortgage payment, my lender has modified mortgage, and I am no longer in foreclosure. I have Mark and his team to thank for that. Mark and his team are top notch professionals. They are well known at the Stamford Courthouse and have an in-depth understanding of both the law and how the system works. As with any legal advisor, it is up to you understand & take charge of your case. Ultimately this will save you money and give you the best outcome. Mark and his team always updated us on our options and which ones were the most practical. You may not always like what you hear, but he is telling you the truth, and when you are in a bad situation there is nothing more valuable than an honest lawyer. That is what you get with Mark. An honest lawyer who is looking out for your best interests. He used his time effectively and was able to get a lot done while at the same time minimizing billing. If you find yourself in a situation that you can’t solve on your own, and need legal counsel, I can wholeheartedly recommend Mark Sank & Associates.
After consulting 2 other lawyers who just went through the motions to get an illegal assessment of $36,000 levied by the Condo association on my unit, I finally hired Mark. He spent a lot of time going into every single detail of the issue, laying out all the possible options that I could pursue, and, most refreshing me all, strongly counseled me to be not be too eager to sue, as that is a sure fire way to simply add to his fees, as these cases could take years to resolve, while the meter keeps clicking. Instead, Mark repeatedly reached out to the Association's Attorney and Management Board, documenting why their assessment does not meet the State statutes for legality, and threatening to sue them personally if they did not cease and desist. His persistence paid off, and the Condo Association finally caved in, lifting the illegal assessment fully and issuing my condo a clean resale document. I could not be more grateful to Mark... he rocks!
On behalf of many of our property management clients we have interfaced with Mark Sank & Associates for a decade. Mark is knowledgeable and has a dedicated team member who puts focused attention on past due condo common charges and rents - this helps our clients collect more money and improve their cash flow.
Complex problem with my mortgage company which I tried to tackle on my own. BIG MISTAKE, Don't do it. After months of no response and no action I gave in and called Sank And Associates. I only wish i had done this immediately. Mr sank was on this and had it resolved within short order. Lesson Learned! I highly recommend Mr Sank .
It was 2 years ago when I foresaw hitting the bottom any moment back then. My husband was unemployed and we were behind in our mortgage payments. I went to attorney Mark Sank for a free consultation. I told him that I had stopped paying my mortgage and began negotiations with the bank (August 2, 2008) but they were going nowhere. He filed as my lawyer in the foreclosure action and supported me all the way, appearing at numerous mediation conferences till the bank finally agreed to modify my loan and I successfully pulled myself out of this situation. I did not want to sell and he reassured me that everything would work out and it did! I am glad I trusted my attorney Mark Sank and thank him for giving me hope and making me believe. I am glad that I did not put my condo on the market but decided to take the hard road and fight. If it wasn't for Mark Sank I dont know what we would have done. Every situation is different but if you have a problem i definitely recommend that youcontact Mark and just talk to him
He was terrible to me on the phone and treated me like a second class person.
I hired Mark Sank to help with a landlord/tenant (us) case. Since my 1st review on this site was not approved, I'll make this short & to the point; he is everything negative you have heard about a lawyer (& then some). He lied, overbilled & did not represent us to our satisfaction. I had to do much of the work myself and $1700 later, barely received what was initially offered & MUCH less than what he suggested we would be paid. DO NOT HIRE HIM, you will be sorry, frustrated and probably worse off than you are now.
I was sent a letter requesting payment for a past due debt that I was not familiar aware I owed. I requested information to document the debt- I paid the amount in full within the specified time frame and he chose to return my bank check. The client was not told I had paid in full. He lied to me in communications about instructions from the client, and is totally unprofessional. He also does have another disciplinary action it appears.
