About
After law school, I joined the United States Marine Corps, where I began my legal career as a Judge Advocate, serving in Okinawa, Japan, and subsequently at Headquarters Marine Corps in Arlington, Virginia. As a prosecutor, and later, defense counsel, in the Marine Corps, I tried countless courts-martial and administrative hearings.Upon completing military service, I was an attorney with the Enforcement Division of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission in Washington, D.C. While with the SEC from 1990-1993, I investigated and/or litigated civil violations of the federal securities laws. I served as a federal prosecutor (Special Assistant U.S. Attorney) in Miami and Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, assigned to the Securities Fraud Unit. While assigned to that Unit, I prosecuted criminal violations of the federal securities laws, including insider trading, market manipulation, money laundering, mail and wire fraud, perjury, and making false statements to a government agency. I obtained convictions in cases involving a nationwide broker payoff scheme; a multi-state financial fraud involving cellular telecommunications; insider trading by principals of a publicly traded company; and embezzlement by a registered agent. Representative of the nature of the cases handled by me, I also investigated the marketing and sale of certain limited partnerships by a major broker-dealer, resulting in the establishment of a $292.5 million claims fund for investors, and the payment of fines to the U.S. Treasury.I next entered private practice as a partner with a national law firm based in Richmond, Virginia, where my practice was concentrated on the representation of a major brokerage firm. In 1999, I began practice as a solo practitioner. I was selected for inclusion in Super Lawyers in the area of Securities Litigation. I currently serves on the Richmond Bar Association’s Communications Committee, having previously served on the Administration of Justice Committee, which facilitates a dialogue between the bench and the bar on best practices. In 2014, I was appointed to serve a multi-year term on the Audit Committee for the American Association of Justice. I have a 10.0 Avvo Rating and for fourteen years an "AV" rating by Martindale-Hubbell (its highest rating).I served as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Richmond School of Law, where I taught a course entitled, “Enforcement of the Federal Securities Laws.”I have formerly served as both Co-Chair and Chair of the Securities Arbitration Subcommittee (Corporate and Business Litigation Committee) of the Business Law Section of the American Bar Association. I also previously held the position of Chair of the ABA’s Securities Enforcement Subcommittee (Business Law Section). For many years, I served as Chair, and then, Vice-Chair, of the Criminal Laws Committee of the ABA’s Section of Business Law. In conjunction with my work for the ABA, in 2003, I was appointed by then-ABA President Dennis Archer to serve on a 14-member commission. This special commission was formed to examine criticisms of mandatory minimum sentences raised by U.S. Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy, in his August 2003 speech to the Opening Assembly at the ABA’s Annual Meeting in San Francisco. After holding extensive hearings, the Commission presented a detailed report to the ABA.I earned a Master of Laws degree (Securities Regulation) from Georgetown University Law Center, and J.D. and B.B.A. degrees from Baylor University. I was admitted to the Bar Associations of the Commonwealth of Virginia, the District of Columbia, and the State of Texas (inactive). Additionally, I am admitted to practice in the federal court system. Also, I practice regularly before FINRA. I estimate that I have handle represented over 200 claimants in securities arbitrations. I dedicate a portion of my practice to pro-bono representation. My wife, Emily, and I are long standing members of St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, where we both have served on the Vestry. We have two daughters -- one is a third year at University of Virginia and the other is a sophmore at Baylor University.

After consulting with Mark Krudys, we hired him to represent my son in a medical malpractice suit. He took on his case when I had almost given up hope on anyone taking it. He listened attentively to everything we said. He was very professional and knowledgeable. He was also kind, considerate, and compassionate. Mark or Anna was always available if we had questions or concerns, never cutting us off short, or making us feel like we were a bother. I just cannot say enough good things about Mark or the Krudys Law Firm. Mark and Anna worked relentlessly to get my son the justice he deserved. I will always be grateful to them, and would highly recommend this firm.
I will forever be grateful to Mark Krudys. He diligently worked on my complicated white collar case for three years. Mark’s skills made him the perfect lawyer to deal with all of its aspects. His knowledge of civil, criminal and bankruptcy law was invaluable. He took the time to make sure I understand the various proceedings and always made me feel like a priority. In addition to being extremely dedicated to his clients, Mark is the epitome of ethical and professional.
My case is a civil rights one, and I was extremely impressed with Mr Krudys’ knowledge and practicality in a brief phone call. He himself answered the call, which in itself is absolutely above expectations. While I wasn’t thrilled with his opinion (i.e., I’ll likely not win my case for which he gave solid reasons), I appreciated his honesty and practicality. I would absolutely go to him with other matters.
I have nothing but the highest regard for Mark. He took on my very complicated case, worked unbelievably hard -days, nights and weekends. He was extremely intelligent, intuitive, competent, timely, easily accessible but most importantly he cared and ALWAYS had my best interests at heart. I have dealt with many attorneys over the years and Mr Krudys is at the top.
Mr Krudys took time from a busy schedule to speak with me about my case without an appointment. He offered encouragement and provided references. Mr. Krudys was kind, considerate and sorry he was not able to take my case.
Mark shatters all negative perceptions about attorneys. He listens carefully to every detail, develops a sound legal strategy and includes his client in every step of the process. I am grateful to Mark for taking my employment case and for helping me navigate the complex twists and turns until we reached a successful outcome.
After seeing the passion Mr. Krudys brings to his profession, the drive shown for the principles of fairness and a genuine concern for the well-being of people, it’s understandable why Mr. Krudys is ranked among the elite attorneys.
Mark was extremely helpful for me. Most notably, he is very conscientious of the fact that lay persons don't understand the in and outs of the legal system and he has an incredible way of explaining everything on a level that is most appropriate so clients have a clear understanding on each detail of what's happening. A very committed attorney!
was walking home with my ex--just three blocks away from the bar. we had had a few to drink. i had an injured leg and was having trouble and we thought something might be wrong underneath my cast. anyway the ambulance showed up right after the police. my bipolar meds, mixed with the pain meds for my leg, mixed with the small amount of alcohol (i really kinda hate alcohol), had me acting a little mouthy and pushed me into the beginnings of a state of mania. so yes, the police arrive before ems, and i was manic and very disrespectful. i was taken to the magistrate and was cycling through states of bipolar mania/psychosis--i was appearing in front of judge cheekes. he did not grant me bail; and because my behaviour was so erratic, he ordered a psych eval before scheduling a bail hearing for me. so i was in richmond city jail for almost two weeks. the public defender saw me for maybe 10 minutes total. i had been charged with public intoxication and--WHOAH!@!@#% ASSAULT ON A POLICE OFFICER!?!!?!?--i was cuffed and they dropped me and my foot hit one of their ankles and they considered that "assault." anyway, they proceeded to kick and punch me--3-4 of them. the more they abused me, the more i reacted verbally which pissed them off even more--it was like a terrible vicious cycle because apparently verbalising counts as "resisting arrest???." is this true? then they asked the woman to leave because she had an allergy to it. after she left, they got me with the pepper spray. on shot 3 i shut up. anyway, when i'd seen her earlier, the public defender said i could and would probably get 2 years for the assault charge and have one suspended...i was so scared. none of this seemed right. so my grandmother took the situation seriously and called Mark to ask him to refer a criminal attorney to us for my charge and he just replied with, "how about me!?" anyway, Mark Krudys had helped my family out before on some financial legal matters with a firm that was abusing my great-grandparents among other clients unrelated. Mark came in ON A SATURDAY NIGHT talked to the prosecutors and magistrate into letting me bond out and conceded that i was not capable of going to trial and understanding the charges, but that i was not when the alleged crimes occurred--so Mark did his thing--->Bam!!AND I WAS OUT IN TWO HOURS!! Mark came in to save me from richmond city jail on a saturday night--and i'll never forget how awesome and altruistic that was.
I spoke with Mark Krudys regarding an employment matter. I was facing separation from my employer without cause and without a severance package. Mark listened carefully to the facts of my situation and provided excellent advice on how I should approach my situation. As a result of his advice, I was awarded a robust severance package. Mark is a knowledgeable, caring attorney who I would highly recommend!!

was walking home with my ex--just three blocks away from the bar. we had had a few to drink. i had an injured leg and was having trouble and we thought something might be wrong underneath my cast. anyway the ambulance showed up right after the police. my bipolar meds, mixed with the pain meds for my leg, mixed with the small amount of alcohol (i really kinda hate alcohol), had me acting a little mouthy and pushed me into the beginnings of a state of mania. so yes, the police arrive before ems, and i was manic and very disrespectful. i was taken to the magistrate and was cycling through states of bipolar mania/psychosis--i was appearing in front of judge cheekes. he did not grant me bail; and because my behaviour was so erratic, he ordered a psych eval before scheduling a bail hearing for me. so i was in richmond city jail for almost two weeks. the public defender saw me for maybe 10 minutes total. i had been charged with public intoxication and--WHOAH!@!@#% ASSAULT ON A POLICE OFFICER!?!!?!?--i was cuffed and they dropped me and my foot hit one of their ankles and they considered that "assault." anyway, they proceeded to kick and punch me--3-4 of them. the more they abused me, the more i reacted verbally which pissed them off even more--it was like a terrible vicious cycle because apparently verbalising counts as "resisting arrest???." is this true? then they asked the woman to leave because she had an allergy to it. after she left, they got me with the pepper spray. on shot 3 i shut up. anyway, when i'd seen her earlier, the public defender said i could and would probably get 2 years for the assault charge and have one suspended...i was so scared. none of this seemed right. so my grandmother took the situation seriously and called Mark to ask him to refer a criminal attorney to us for my charge and he just replied with, "how about me!?" anyway, Mark Krudys had helped my family out before on some financial legal matters with a firm that was abusing my great-grandparents among other clients unrelated.
Krudys is ranked among the elite attorneys.

was walking home with my ex--just three blocks away from the bar. we had had a few to drink. i had an injured leg and was having trouble and we thought something might be wrong underneath my cast. anyway the ambulance showed up right after the police. my bipolar meds, mixed with the pain meds for my leg, mixed with the small amount of alcohol (i really kinda hate alcohol), had me acting a little mouthy and pushed me into the beginnings of a state of mania. so yes, the police arrive before ems, and i was manic and very disrespectful. i was taken to the magistrate and was cycling through states of bipolar mania/psychosis--i was appearing in front of judge cheekes. he did not grant me bail; and because my behaviour was so erratic, he ordered a psych eval before scheduling a bail hearing for me. so i was in richmond city jail for almost two weeks. the public defender saw me for maybe 10 minutes total. i had been charged with public intoxication and--WHOAH!@!@#% ASSAULT ON A POLICE OFFICER!?!!?!?--i was cuffed and they dropped me and my foot hit one of their ankles and they considered that "assault." anyway, they proceeded to kick and punch me--3-4 of them. the more they abused me, the more i reacted verbally which pissed them off even more--it was like a terrible vicious cycle because apparently verbalising counts as "resisting arrest???." is this true? then they asked the woman to leave because she had an allergy to it. after she left, they got me with the pepper spray. on shot 3 i shut up. anyway, when i'd seen her earlier, the public defender said i could and would probably get 2 years for the assault charge and have one suspended...i was so scared. none of this seemed right. so my grandmother took the situation seriously and called Mark to ask him to refer a criminal attorney to us for my charge and he just replied with, "how about me!?" anyway, Mark Krudys had helped my family out before on some financial legal matters with a firm that was abusing my great-grandparents among other clients unrelated.
Krudys is ranked among the elite attorneys.

was walking home with my ex--just three blocks away from the bar. we had had a few to drink. i had an injured leg and was having trouble and we thought something might be wrong underneath my cast. anyway the ambulance showed up right after the police. my bipolar meds, mixed with the pain meds for my leg, mixed with the small amount of alcohol (i really kinda hate alcohol), had me acting a little mouthy and pushed me into the beginnings of a state of mania. so yes, the police arrive before ems, and i was manic and very disrespectful. i was taken to the magistrate and was cycling through states of bipolar mania/psychosis--i was appearing in front of judge cheekes. he did not grant me bail; and because my behaviour was so erratic, he ordered a psych eval before scheduling a bail hearing for me. so i was in richmond city jail for almost two weeks. the public defender saw me for maybe 10 minutes total. i had been charged with public intoxication and--WHOAH!@!@#% ASSAULT ON A POLICE OFFICER!?!!?!?--i was cuffed and they dropped me and my foot hit one of their ankles and they considered that "assault." anyway, they proceeded to kick and punch me--3-4 of them. the more they abused me, the more i reacted verbally which pissed them off even more--it was like a terrible vicious cycle because apparently verbalising counts as "resisting arrest???." is this true? then they asked the woman to leave because she had an allergy to it. after she left, they got me with the pepper spray. on shot 3 i shut up. anyway, when i'd seen her earlier, the public defender said i could and would probably get 2 years for the assault charge and have one suspended...i was so scared. none of this seemed right. so my grandmother took the situation seriously and called Mark to ask him to refer a criminal attorney to us for my charge and he just replied with, "how about me!?" anyway, Mark Krudys had helped my family out before on some financial legal matters with a firm that was abusing my great-grandparents among other clients unrelated.
