About
Whether partner Mark Jordan is creating an estate plan, preparing tax forms or helping to settle a probate issue, he always focuses on finding the right solution for his client."I enjoy meeting with people and solving their problems. Working directly with individuals to assist them in meeting their needs and goals is why I first pursued the field of law," he says. "I believe that the practice of law should be based on dedication to finding the right solution as efficiently as possible."Mr. Jordan practices in the areas of estate planning, probate, taxation, insurance and business law. He is a member of the Cincinnati and Kentucky Bar Associations, and the Cincinnati Estate Planning Council.A Cincinnati native, Mr. Jordan is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Georgetown University (B.S., cum laude, 1977) and the University of Cincinnati College of Law (J.D., 1980). He was admitted to the bar in Ohio in 1980, and in Kentucky in 1995.Mr. Jordan is certified as a Fellow of the Life Management Institute (FLMI), a Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) and a Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU).He also has served as an adjunct professor at Mt. St. Joseph and advisor to the Cincinnati Paralegal Association. He enjoys spending time with his family. Mr. Jordan has handled numerous volunteer roles including room parent and the president and coach of the Springmeyer Soccer Association for his children. With over three decades of experience in the field, Mr. Jordan has written over 60 articles on tax law and estate planning. In addition, he has given numerous presentations and training seminars across the nation on estate planning. While all attorneys are professionals, very few have limited their practice to estate planning, probate, taxation, insurance and business law. Just like the medical profession where doctors limit their practices to certain areas of medicine, the legal profession has a huge percentage of lawyers limiting their practice to particular areas of the law. After law school I decided to study the numerous courses required to achieve the FLMI, CLU and ChFC in order to further my understanding of the areas of law in which I practice, Mr. Jordan adds. While there are roughly 6,000 lawyers in Greater Cincinnati, there may be only a half dozen JD, FLMI, CLU, ChFCs.
