Rick represented me after a serious accident involving a commercial vehicle. I suffered serious injuries with life long implications for my health and ability to work. Rick encouraged me to focus on my recovery and rehabilitation throughout the process of representing me. He kept me informed about what the insurance carrier was likely to do, and what I could expect throughout the settlement process. He explained the strengths as well as the weaknesses of our case at every stage, and made it clear that it was always my decision to go to the accept an offer or hold out. I always felt like he gave me the tools to make the right decisions by explaining the law in such a way that a lay person could understand it, and how the courts would look at the arguments of both sides. In the end the insurance carrier refused to settle the case and we ended up at trial. The insurance company representing the other driver hired a "big name" firm with a reputation for defending insurers against claims like the one I had. Throughout a 2 week trial Rick consistently outclassed the opposing counsel with his strategy and his presentation. His preparation was incredible and I felt like he had memorized every document in my file. In the end the "big name" did not help the other side, and the jury returned a very substantial verdict in my favor. Rick is obviously brilliant, but it is his experience in trying cases over the course of 30 years has made him an absolute expert in his field. I'm sorry that I had to go through such a terrible experience, but I am grateful that I had Rick on my side when I did.
