Marit is helping me obtain my nursing license. After some chemical dependency and alcohol-related issues, I have turned my life around and completed nursing school, only to find out that I may have problems getting licensed due to my past. Right away, I contacted Marit Sivertson, and am so glad I did so. From the very first time I spoke to her, she had my back and was so reassuring, which I really needed at the time. She is so easy to talk to and is so professional and so nice. She has provided me with excellent advice and is advocating for me all the way. I look forward to continuing to work with her on my case. I definitely recommend her to anyone who has to face the Board of Nursing. She has a lot of experience with the Board and she will advocate for your best interests. My case hasn't gone before the Board yet, but when it does, I am confident that with Marit representing me I will get the results I am hoping for. Don't face the Board alone; this is your career on the line. Hire an attorney.

I achieved my dream and practiced nursing for many years. Devastatingly, false allegations were made by my employer and I received a letter from the Board of Nursing. My best advice is Get an attorney who truly will do 110% and that is Marit Sivertson. She will provide the best defense and does this with integrity, compassion and her ability to communicate clearly and concisely. As far as I concerned if you are calling for an attorney , there is only one call to make . -Marit.

I recently had to use Ms. Sivertson services to prepare a written response to allegations contained in the Notice of Conference from the Minnesota Board of Nursing. Marit assisted me in a cost-effective and efficient manner. She was knowledgeable and well experienced and it showed as all my allegations were dismissed. I am pleased with my decision to have her as a lawyer. Thank you Marit!

Marit assisted me by answering an inquiry by the Board. She was beyond helpful in answering my questions as well as assisting me with my response. I found Marit to be very compassionate, thoughtful and knowledgeable. Her expertise was not only vital to my favorable outcome, but also to my peace of mind.

I received a letter from the Minnesota Board of Nursing and was in a complete panic. . Marit was so patient and thorough explaining the process to me. She was able to put me at ease and I immediately knew that she had a handle on things. She is extremely familiar with the Minnesota Board of Nursing. She really listened to all my concerns and took the time to understand both what the allegations were and my responses. My case was dismissed. I highly recommend her!

I received a letter from the board of nursing and was shocked. Some of the allegations that were made against me were exaggerated or untrue, I felt lost. I came across Sivertson & Barrette through online research and my local attorney. Marit took the time to review my case over the phone before I retained her as well as explaining everything in clear detail along with possible scenarios that could happen. Throughout this whole process, she was there for me whenever I needed her, even on the weekends as well as after business hours. She is professional not only in her clear command of the rules and process but in her compassion as a person. I am beyond grateful for the services that she provided for my family and I. We met in person along with my husband so that I could prepare myself for how to face the board and eventually, my case was dismissed in its entirety. I could not be more confident in my recommendation of her to any of my friends or co-workers if faced with allegations from the board of nursing.

Marit Sivertson was an attorney that I contacted BEFORE getting my nursing license as I had received a notice of conference contesting some of the information on my application. I spoke with her for almost an hour and she reviewed many aspects of my upcoming conference and how the Board would pick apart my case. She gave the advice free of charge and didn't pressure me to hire her even once. I wish I had hired her immediately then because my hearing with the Board led to a complicated Stipulation and Consent Order and I immediately knew to call Marit once again and this time to hire her to represent me. From the minute I asked for her help (even before receiving the retainer), I knew Marit was working hard on my side to protect me from any potential damage to my future career in nursing. Marit has been a phone call, email, or text away this entire time day and night. She is thoroughly versed on not only the staff at the Board of Nursing but she understands the road map with which the Board uses to navigate the course of licensure, relicensure, and everything between the initial notification from the Board to the final decision from the Board regarding each case. I absolutely, wholeheartedly recommend Marit to any nurse or potential nurse that has to communicate with the Board of nursing. I would also recommend that you trust her throughout the process - she is kind and thorough but she is also extremely tough with the Board and ensuring you are 100% represented throughout your process.

I have been a nurse for over ten years had a great career. Recently I was notified by the MN BON on two separate occasions that my license was in jeopardy. The first case I thought to myself you know what I am innocent and I am just going to go in there and tell the truth. I thought I could save money represent myself and just tell the truth how could I go wrong? When I went in front of the board they absolutely tore my license apart. I am on several restrictions and not able to practice like I used to. My second case I called Marit and was again up against some serious charges. From the minute I got off the phone with her I knew I had made the right choice. She walked me through the whole process. I honestly did not worry about a thing and when the conference came she sat right next to me and it's like I was instantly given this respect that I was not given the last time. Things went very different and my case was actually dismissed. If I could do one thing over in my life I would go back in time and hire Marit the first time I received a letter from the MN board of nursing. Words cannot even begin to explain how strongly I feel Marit can make a difference for you when dealing with the board.

When Marit was retained as my lawyer I was hopeless and was devastated by the thought of having my nursing licence suspended. Throughout the whole process she was such a great advocate for me and was so knowledgeable about the intricate workings of the Minnesota Board of Nursing. I feel that this was a huge positive for me and my specific case. She researched my specific situation and developed a great defense that ultimately was the key factor in getting my stay of suspension dropped and no disciplinary action taken against me and my nursing licence. This was such a great outcome and I truly feel that it would never have happened if I had anyone else representing me. I would recommend Marit Sivertson to anyone having any kind if issue with there nursing licence and the Nursing board of Minnesota. She is a consummate professional in ever sense of the word!
