She is a wizard with words when it comes to writing up visitation agreements and trying to keep things out of court. She's great at trying to work with the opposing attorney and keeping costs down.
Marie is a very excellent lawyer. She work very hard on my case for custody. She helped me gain custody of my child and also helped maintain all the court proceedings afterwards.
Marie is a genuine person who really knows the law. She has represented my family for years on various legal matters (divorce, estate planning, etc.) She is very much willing to work with the opposing party and does all she can to keep costs down and your case out of the courtroom. If you are in need of lawyer who will work peacefully towards resolutions for you, chose her. However, if you are in need of an aggressive "bulldog" to represent you, look elsewhere - that is not her style.
Marie wrote up a will and irrevocable trust for my father. When his bank recommended that I be named as a fiduciary of the trust and give me power of attorney over the new accounts that would be set up, my father called Marie's office to tell Marie and have the necessary changes made. The office staff tried to talk him out of it and told him to go back to the bank and insist that their legal department "go over it". My elderly father was very upset. I advised my father to call Marie's office again and insist that the changes requested by the bank be made. He spoke to a different person this morning and was able to make an appointment. Having changes made to make it easier on the bank and my father shouldn't be this difficult.
Very disappointed. Waiting since 2015 for Attorney Garian to complete the estate account and tell me her fee.
I was requesting drivers license restoration & she sent me to a substance abuse evaluator who returned a "questionable/insufficient" evaluation but submitted it anyway. She "prepared me " over the phone with sample questions on the Friday before I was to appear on Monday. There were wrong dates on required letters that I, not her, caught after they had already been submitted. She did not tell me in advance that I could have witnesses testify or offer to prep them to testify
