I had a great experience with Marguerite as my lawyer. She did all the necessary research needed for my case and even went above and beyond. Marguerite was not only informative and efficient, she was also a pleasure to work with. I would recommend her to anyone.
I engaged Marguerite Nealon for a consultation during a very trying time in my life. I could not imagine how I would sort out my situation. Marguerite helped me navigate the divorce process while educating me along the way. She was efficient, easy to speak with, really "heard" me and was extremely educated in her field. Her connectivity and the way she was able to put me in touch with additional professionals I needed to seek out enabled me to have a divorce that was resolved quickly. I am grateful for all that she did for me.
Marguerite is a highly-skilled lawyer to help anyone navigate the twists and turns of divorce proceedings from equitable distribution of funds/assets, to working out custody arrangements. I am very happy with the terms of settlement she negotiated on my behalf. Most married folks know how to cook an egg or to take the trash out and some can even do their own taxes....but no one is prepared to navigate divorce proceedings and to make things even more difficult, there is a lot of emotion stirring around when you have to go through this -- what I found most remarkable about Marguerite, even more so when I reflected back, is that her philosophy ensured that both parties keep the emotional side in check and looked at after everyone's best interests....particularly critical when there is a family/children involved. (Logistically that also protects from protracted proceedings and excess expense) Successful coparenting after a divorce is the best way to care for your children and Marguerite's leadership through my divorce taught me how to focus on that and now that the dust is all settled I have a good coparenting relationship with my former spouse...and she actually agreed that Marguerite's leadership helped our family get through this best. So amazingly both myself and my former spouse would rate Marguerite "five stars"....at least we finally found something to agree on -ha ha.
I would never recommend Marguerite. She over charged and did nothing on my divorce case but had no issues charging me 13,000. I was even charged for things she didn't do! Met with her only twice and after 2 yrs I still wasn't divorced. And I'm talking a divorce that was straight forward no disagreements on custody or assets. Dropped her as my lawyer and my divorce was final in 4 months with the new lawyer. Went to bar association and she was found guilty of excessive billing and I was not held responsible for the bill
