There truly isn’t enough positive worlds I could say about Margaret (and another attorney she worked with at the time...Sally Yates). Their expert advice during a highly challenging divorce was immeasurable. I’m truly grateful!

Margaret can go up against any lawyer / layer-commissioner in the area. She is as good as it gets. She is not only a powerhouse of an attorney - she is ethical and kind - a rare combination of fearless, brilliant, and human. Doesn't get any better! I have used her against one of the highest paid divorce attorneys in Seattle and she proved herself stronger on each issue and willing to go the extra mile to support what was right and good for kids each time.

Margaret was my 4th lawyer for a very very messy divorce following a brain aneurysm and brain surgery. She was very helpful and patient with a very absent minded client. She spent as much time with me as I needed and guided me through many years of contested follow up to the divorce. I HIGHLY recommend Margaret Doyle Fitzpatrick.

Knowing about a friend's thoroughly disappointing experience with their lawyer I began my search process with trepidation. Ms. Fitzpatrick immediately set my mind at ease imbuing full confidence that she not only had a thorough knowledge of the law, but had genuine concern for me and was fully ready to protect my welfare. She let me know what to expect and guided me in securing all the documents I'd need to facilitate my case. As things developed and my stress level generated serious debilitating physical responses Ms. Fitzpatrick became a warrior to save me as she helped me complete my remaining documents, drove me to the courthouse to file and took me to the various required offices. I really don't know what I would've done if she hadn't fully shepherded me at this critical point in my life! She continued to extend expert legal counsel and showed genuine care and concern even during the months I temporarily relocated out of state including such things as giving me a status report on my home and possessions after my ex moved out and helping me negotiate the added challenges of doing certain paperwork from out of state. She continued to keep my best interests at the forefront until the lengthy process concluded. I give her the highest recommendation!

My separation required her to negotiate a torturous path for over a year as we passed through all the roadblocks they tried. She never lost confidence, nor did she lose mine. The litigants were married for 54 years and I was somewhat diminished by a stroke; she helped me to assert my right not to suffer any more abuse.

She is a very good attorney and will do her very best. I worked with Margaret: she works to understand the case -- she studies if needed to figure a good solution and she marches forward to execute on a set path. She bills for all time that she really spends working unlike other attorney's who will bill for things that they never do. She is very fair and uses attorney time wisely. She is very organized and keeps all files in a orderly fashion. She may review things time and again but unlike others she does not bill you for it over and over again. Not every battle can be won but every battle can be fought with the best effort. She certainly gives her best. Yes, we lost on a few matters but we eventually won on what was important as we fought it till the courts understood the situation.

Margaret's work is thorough and detailed. She is extremely hardworking, intelligent and very professional. Her pace of doing things is exceptional -- she will read through the right set of your documents, understand your goals, create a plan, and execute it with you. Her 35 years of experience in this industry obviously allows her to work at a speed I have not seen in any other lawyer's work. (I have worked with 4 lawyers) As need may be, in especially complicated matters Margaret will research through legal books, her network of attorneys, doctors, CPA, expert witness etc. and fight for you. She is strong, courageous and concise all 3 are qualities required in an excellent lawyer. All documents that she creates for her clients have very clear language. All facts no matter how complicated are expressed in a simple to understand yet strong way. As a result of her abilities, she represents her clients extremely well. I have worked with Margaret for the last 3 months and I admire her for her work. She is a wonderful person.

Margaret knows her stuff - she has a very strong background. I knew she was the one after our 2 hour initial meeting. She is strong willed, direct and collaborative. She doesn't waste time is very concious of eating up time and money. One of the things I like about her is that she is tough, but also full of heart and compassion. I liked that I did not have to drive down town, pay for expensive parking and go into a tall high rise building also.

Margaret represented me on several occasions related to a very troubling divorce. In response to the unhealthy, aggressive approach taken by the other party and their legal counsel Margaret provided well thought out, documented, and appropriate responses. Those responses, and motions brought to reinforce our position won the day in the Superior Court of Washington and in the Court of Appeals Division One of the State of Washington. The legal findings were the best the court system was able to achieve and maintain given the circumstances. Beyond the legal aspects I found Margaret's perspective and advise excellent. Margaret helped protect my young children, retain primary custody and the house for us to live in. Since the divorce the framework of mediation established in the parenting plan has provided the basis for conflict resolution in 12 followup mediations without having to engage the court system again. If you have a tough case needing great representation. If you need someone understanding, capable and willing to go the distance. Margaret is who I recommend to all I know.

Divorce is not fun. It racked me to my core. Margaret took the time to acknowledge that but not coddle me. There are many realities built into the law that disfavor successful men. Margaret informed me fully of the realistic outcomes of my case and skillfully manuvered it to a resolution. The worst part was fighting over custody issues. Margaret sense of timing was excellent and got me a far better parenting plan than what was initially offered. The bottom line truth is that for most people divorce is unwanted experience. My trust in Margaret was well placed she made it better for me because she listened to me and steered me through that morass.
