At the same time, I was able to keep car and home by reaffirming my loan and mortgage. 12 years later I applied for a refinance on my mortgage. The title agency notified me of a lien on the property from a creditor who was included on my bankruptcy from 2008. After research we learned that the lien was placed on my property during the automatic stay.
