My interaction with Marcia began with an initial phone consultation of my separation agreement. We had a long-winded discussion regarding the extenuating circumstances involving my former employer’s knowledge of my son’s impairment since birth as well as my years of service to that company and the missing criteria of the separation agreement not disclosed by them. Marcia expressed sincere compassion for my family and son. After the initial consultation; Marcia was hired by me and spoke with their legal council, she negotiated a settlement to nearly double the original package and I cannot be more grateful to Marcia!
Marcia represented me when my previous employer accused me of the alleged breach of contract, which turned out to be my constructive discharge from the employment (Judge even stated that the employer sued me to intimidate and bully me in court). I contacted almost every attorney in NELA (National Employment Lawyers Association) who practices in Cook County, Illinois via E-mail or phone. Marcia was the most able, experienced, and zealous lawyer of labor and employment, I had ever found. Furthermore, she has pity on those who are falsely charged but cannot afford tremendous legal fees to prove their innocence like me. She even gave me a referral to LAF (Legal Assistance Foundation) for free consultation at first, before I officially retained her. I won the lawsuit with her ingenious strategies; she filed Motion to Dismiss and Motion for Sanction instead of counterclaim. It is extremely rare for them to be passed but we made it. This case was as good as the fighting between spear and shield, but our shied defeated their spear, successfully! Thanks to her sling and stones, David beat Goliath armed with legal team, at last. There are many competent lawyers in the world but it is really hard to find one who has both capability and integrity. I highly recommend her. She works for justice, not for money.
Marcia was recommended by a family friend who is also an attorney. He uses Marcia when his client requires legal counsel specializing in employment law. I had several issues with my company that had been ongoing for several months. I contacted Marcia when I became frustrated by the lack of progress. She provided several options and was very open and honest discussing the pluses and minuses of each. Unlike a couple of other attorney's I spoke with, she did not recommend a lawsuit that would be time consuming and costly. Instead, she suggested the best thing was to negotiate a settlement. What she negotiated went well beyond my expectations. She asked for and received things that I did not even consider. Though I have never met Marcia, I trust her completely and would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone that is having difficulty with their employer. She is a skilled negotiator, honest, patient, communicates well and has a heart for those that are being treated unfairly.
