Marc continued on to earn his Juris Doctor from the Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law, in Washington, DC, in 1999.Marc was admitted to the Judge Advocate General Corps in 2000 where he served as a Captain in the United States Army, undertaking litigation work for the Department of Justice. Upon forming his own firm in 2003, Marc devoted his practice to civil and criminal matters, finding that passionate defense work was how he best served his community. In 2010, after building a distinguished reputation through trials, along with his work, his skills of persuasion and tenacious style in the courtroom, he caught the attention of Hollywood. Marc became the inspiration for the character Pete Kaczmarek (portrayed by Jerry O'Connell) in the CBS primetime television drama "The Defenders." Marc not only worked alongside the show's writers to provide legal authenticity to scenes and storylines, but the episodes themselves were based on clients or issues he had previously litigated.

My husband was incarcerated with a wrongful conviction. Not to get off topic but that was something that Marc helped with as well. In 2007 my husband was wrongfully shot by a correctional officer inside of prison Nevada department of corrections high desert State prison. After many years and Marc doing an investigation and being hired by our mom. He won the lawsuit against the state, and got Justice for my husband that was on life support for 2 weeks with no call to family. Marc didn't just stop there. He arrived to every court date my husband had after that, he even resume in 2019 and went in front of a judge again and got my husband 111 days credit for time served that the judge failed to give him in 2011. And then once again he didn't even stop there, he also came to my husband's parole hearing just last month and after 10 years of my husband being incarcerated we won the parole which is unheard of. And my husband is finally coming home. If it wasn't for Marc I wouldn't have known what to do with this entire journey . He is literally the best attorney I have ever seen. He actually cares and he doesn't stop when things get too hard. If he doesn't think he can win it he won't even waste your time or his. I highly suggest this to anybody that is facing criminal charges especially. I will never in my life hire another attorney other than Marc himself. Let's pray I'll never need one. But if I do I know right where to go. His assistant Mark Willoughby was also amazing and help me through everything. Always was one text away or One call away. Thank you gentlemen for doing the best thing for me and my husband. Dinner on us. -Jenna Hixon & Donald Hixon
When hiring a lawyer for criminal defense, you're paying mostly for their negotiation skills. I think that's the difference between public defenders and the best private defense attorneys. Public defenders are often passionate about what they do and knowledgeable, but they're not skilled or good negotiators and despite their best intentions and how much they care about their clients, they let their clients down because they can't get good deals made for them. Marc is extremely knowledgeable of the law and where he really stands out is representing his clients interests in negotiating the best deals possible for them in troubled times. My experience with Marc was great.
Marc has a tremendous legal mind. His deep and thorough knowledge of the law, combined with his refined and honed experience and his ultimate goal of zealously representing his clients interest makes for one heck of a tremendous lawyer.
For over a decade, Marc Saggese has been a legal support system in many chapters of me and my family's life. He is a man of his word and someone that without a doubt, you can depend on at a moments notice. He's a fighter and has had my back for the long haul. He will not let you down. The suggestion I offer in choosing your attorney, is knowing they will fight as if they are walking in your shoes. I know for a fact, Marc A. Saggese is that person.
I got in a accident not only did they go to court for me, but kept me informed of the ruling also doing an amazing job by having the fine dismissed.
I never thought I would ever need a lawyer, but sometimes the craziest things happen. My experience with Attorney Saggese was one of sheer pleasure. I felt like he truly cared. Not just him, but his staff kept my informed of every facet of my case without making me feel uncomfortable for the situation. Thank you to Marc and his amazing staff.
About a year ago I was in a car accident. Marc Saggese was highly recommended by a friend of mine. I have dealt with a few Lawyers in the past and I feel the majority of them are only concerned with their own profits. Mr. Saggese and his staff, made sure I understood all of my options, without regard of his personal gain. He handled my case, like I was much more than just a faceless client, keeping me up to date on all of his progress. Mr. Saggese, is now what I expect from a Lawyer: Understanding, compassionate, intelligent, able to work with the system and able to communicate with me on my level, without making me feel lost.
Mr. Saggese and his office were a true pleasure to interact with on a recent traffic citation. I was kept informed during the whole process with details summarized to me in terms I could understand. Mr. Saggese put me at ease and took the time to explain everything to me. I have his office number saved in a very short list of important numbers.
I am glad to have been referred to Marc from another attorney. I didn't think I needed a lawyer but it turns out I did and Marc was great. He explained everything with my case and I felt like I knew what to expect before it happened. Very happy with the settlement too – the insurance company did not want to budge, but Marc was a fighter.
Mr. Saggese was hired to represent my family member in a very serious criminal case. Although there was fault to go around, Mr. Saggese spent considerable time and effort in helping the prosecution understand the true facts and circumstances which led to this very unfortunate event. There is no denying that if we chose another attorney or the public defender the outcome would have been very bleak. The fact that Mr. Saggese is a highly skilled attorney might be par for the course. But, what's noteworthy is that Mr. Saggese didn't limit his fight for just his client, he embraced the whole family and found a way to a fair resolution. We can't thank you enough for what you did Marc!
