I hired Marc for something that many people might not see as a big deal, but it was definitely a big deal for me and very stressful. Even given the relatively small natural of the situation, Marc dedicated himself to
Marc has represented me in two criminal cases: one from 2017, and a present case which began in 2016. My experience with him has been amazing. I lived a pretty rough lifestyle in my younger years after returning home from the war in Afghanistan. I had PTSD, Substance Abuse, and a lot of other issues. I was in and out of prison (which sadly is the case for most veterans returning home from war) and we get into a lot of trouble trying to adjust to civilian life again. When Marc met me, I was a HOT MESS!! I was strung out, and my PTSD was way out of control. Marc my Brother and Other Veterans suggested I go to the Denver VA for help. I did exactly that, and ended up in an IOP program at the Denver VA. Next, the VA wanted to send me to Hot Springs, SD for an inpatient program. I was in a real bad way, and I wasn't supposed to leave Colorado. Marc convinced the Judge, Prosecutor, and Pretrial services to let me leave the state while on bond and pretrial to attend this program to deal with my issues from the War (Operation Enduring Freedom). I went to the inpatient program in SD, returning to CO regularly to update the courts of my progress in the program. I did over a year in treatment, and halfway through, Marc was able to turn a 16-32 yr sentence into 2yrs probation, and I was eventually hired on full time with The Dept. of Veterans Affairs helping Veteran patients. I was living my best life ever at the time I was 3yrs sober, (today I'm 4yrs Sober) working a GOV job, and doing well. I got custody of my daughter, life was great thanks to Marcs help... then my past came back to haunt me in 2019. The feds came to the VA and picked me up for a charge from 2016, and I called Marc. Without hesitation, he took my case, and its still on-going. Its been an up hill battle every step of the way with this US Attorney, but Marc still believes in me and hasn't given up. Marc actually fought, and is fighting for me. Marc sees past my criminal history, past my appearance, past my drug use and past my old affiliations, when everyone else wrote me off as a lost cause or a criminal. He sees something in me no one else has ever seen, and I am so grateful for that. Marc truly has fought hard for me, and seeing him go through everything he has done for me, and continues to do for me, is something remarkable. I thank the creator every day for putting Mark in my life. I've worked very hard to change my life: people, places, and things... but I can truly say that Marc Milavitz is a biggest contributing factor to my success. He truly cares for his clients.
Marc responded to our inquiry and quickly demonstrated a great deal of experience advising students facing very serious, personal matters. He asked thoughtful questions with empathy and understanding, and offered practical suggestions - the outcome was better than expected. Thank you Marc!
Marc was a huge help to me throughout the past two years. This was a very stressful time in my life but Marc has taken on much of the burden for me as he is always timely with his responses to any of your questions and is always quick to figure out what he can do for you. He does not play games, he is just here to do his job. I am very grateful for what Marc did for me and I 100 percent would hire him again.
Marc was a "no nonsense" type of guy when it came to my case (and this is meant in a positive way). Quick initial consultation, and we quickly went over the details my situation. It was brief, but to the point. He immediately was able to speak with the prosecutor and negotiate great new terms/requirements for the original charge. Ultimately the case was dismissed .. Marc is great at what he does, and definitely knows how to get the job done.
Marc is an amazing defense attorney and an even better person. He will work with you to meet your needs and reach the best possible outcome for any scenario. My case arose during a stressful time and Marc allowed me to keep my mind at ease. He was diligent in providing me status updates on my cases along with dates and locations for court. I always knew my case was in good hands with Marc. I would highly recommend Marc to anyone in need of a well tuned and experienced attorney.
I recently used Marc Milavitz for my legal issues. During this most stressful year of my life, Marc listened to my concerns and gave me a realistic overview of my case. I had so many questions that my head was swirling. Marc always got back to me in a quick manner. I know that he put in work speaking with the prosecutor as I am very happy with the results. The thing that helped the most is that he was able to provide insight of what the other side was likely thinking from his experiences. I do not plan on needing a defense lawyer again, but I do keep his card in my wallet at all times.
I was charged with a sex crime, and Marc helped me through this process. Marc, not only gives you outstanding professional service, he also gives you his attention and helps you cope with such a stressful event. If you unfortunately end up in a similar situation, it’s good to have a professional lawyer like Marc, in your corner fighting for your right.
Marc came highly recommended to us and we were not disappointed. He was very direct and informative with us from our first consultation through to the end. He always took the time to answer our questions and explain the confusing legal lingo. He was a calming presence during a very uncertain point in our family’s life. We appreciated his honest and fair business practices.
Marc Milavitz is by far the most knowledgable and trustworthy attorney, especially when putting the future of your life into the hands of someone else. Costs aside, the first thing Marc told me was that I had no need to worry about my case because that was his job; to worry about my case. With that being said, as a college student, I was able to focus on my schooling, whilst my case was being handled behind the scenes. He was able to change the course of MY life over an eight month timeframe, for the better. I went from an already stressed out college student and hardworking employee, with a potential felony on my record, to a young 20 year old kid who no longer has to worry about the stress of the judicial system riding on my back. That's all thanks to Marc. Marc was very clear about going through every single possible outcome from my case, whether it had been going to trial, pleading guilty to certain offers from the DA, or just being patient, and letting him "work his magic". He read me the specific laws that I had broken, breaking them down further so I was able to understand exactly what I had done, and having never been in trouble with the law before, Marc was able to talk me off the ledge when I went into his office in hysteria, thinking that my life would be over. All in all, after eight months of dragging out my case, he was able to get an offer from the Jefferson County DA's for the Diversion program. Meaning that my one mistake wasn't going to cost me a lifetime of turmoil. Marc is honest and entirely trustworthy, and if I had to, (which I'm hoping I never will) I would put my future in his hands again. I couldn't thank him enough for what he did for me. I highly recommend Marc as an attorney, and any amount of money spent was well worth it due to the fact that my life is no longer in shambles. Thank you, Marc.
