Malee has been a practicing immigration attorney for over 12 years. She represents primarily individuals and families. Her immigration practice focuses on family-based immigration cases, removal and deportation defense, humanitarian immigration casess like asylum and TPS, as well as, deferred action for childhood arrivals ("DACA"). She also assists criminal defense attorneys & their clients by advising about immigration consequences of criminal charges and convictions in state and federal court. Malee has assisted non-citizen clients after conviction petition the court to withdraw their guilty plea or obtain other post-conviction relief to avoid harmful immigration consequences. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Iowa in Spanish and she has lived and studied internationally in Alicante, Spain. She attended Drake University Law School in Des Moines, Iowa where she received her Juris Doctorate degree. She is licensed to practice law in the state of Minnesota and is admitted to practice in the United States District Court of Minnesota. Malee is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and Minnesota State Bar Association. She has received the International Academy of Trial Lawyers Award and served as volunteer legal counsel to the St. Paul Jaycees. Malee is the founder and owner of her law firm, Ketelsen Law Office.
